It almost feels like winter in this part of the world, even though it's mid-September. Typically, we don’t get 12-15 degrees Celsius at midday this time of year, but who can understand women or the current climate?
Today, I’m celebrating my father’s birthday. He’s 900 kilometers away, living in a different country. We only had a brief conversation over the phone this morning, but I’m still in a festive mood today.
I also went abroad, not too far from my hometown, but to a different country—Serbia. I got invited by someone for lunch there, and since I hadn’t been in a while, I couldn’t say no. I had a pleskavica, as usual—the Serbian version of an American burger—but to be honest, I didn’t like it that much.
I’ll definitely avoid that place in the future. However, I did have some great ice cream afterward, which led to an overdose of calories. That, of course, meant we had to walk a bit to burn some of them off.
The town we visited is situated on the right bank of the Danube, giving me a chance to see the river from a different perspective, since I live by the Danube as well. I really liked the view over there, I have to say.
That’s why I only took pics from that part of town. It’s been pretty windy all day and quite cold, as I mentioned earlier, but to our surprise, we saw someone swimming in the Danube at one point.
It was a woman, swimming right next to a restaurant. She stayed in the water for at least twenty minutes while we were walking in that area. I found that “quite manly,” tbh...
Now I’m about to hit the kitchen and grab something to eat. So, that’s all from my side today. I wish you all a great day, and see you next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
