What Is Your Next Personal Challenge?

Some time ago I set several new goals, of which I have already achieved several. In this video, I share with you one of them. It has to do with the guitar, which I have been playing for about 30 years and which has always been a faithful companion in every moment of my life. The guitar is typically played with the left hand, but I decided to learn to play the guitar also with the right hand. Why? Well, to find out you have to watch the whole video.

Aquí les va: Why did I decide to be ambidextrous?

In fact this video is the first part of a series. Previously - for reasons that I will tell you later - I uploaded the second part of this series. Here is the link to that video, but I ask you to please watch this video first and then go to the link. Here it goes: Why did I decide to be ambidextrous?

I will tell you that the reasons for this personal challenge go beyond practical reasons. In the event that one day I am temporarily or permanently unable to use my left hand, it is convenient to be able to play the guitar with my right hand and not stop enjoying the beautiful gift of music. However, there are other reasons for this challenge. My reasons have to do with the principles and teachings this challenge has left me, which will help me in other areas of my life. I hope that it will also be of benefit to all of you.

At the same time I would like to invite all of you to join me in this journey and set a goal for the next week or month. Ideas: learn to juggle, if you don't know how to play an instrument maybe you can learn to play the guitar, or another instrument, maybe you can learn another language, adopt a new hobby or productive habit.

I would like to hear about your challenges and/or mints. Comment about your difficulties, successes, and lessons learned. It would be great to start a conversation and help each other.

I remember my mom.. She's left-handed, but learned how to use her right hand as well, in writing, and doing other stuff. I guess this makes sense, as you said, if our dominant part of the body becomes unable, at least, it wouldn't compromise our daily life activities as others parts can be used to do the tasks 😊.

Very impressive! Yes, the practical reasons for learning to use both hands are numerous. As I explain in the video, I'm interested in those, but also in the philosophical part of it, and in the principles that I learn, and then that I can apply to other areas of my life.

True. It can be helpful in many aspects

Yes Sir
Welcome 😁

I always wanted to play a guitar

I'll help you out! When do you want to start?

we can start right away, no point in wasting time

Do you own a guitar or do you know someone you can borrow one from?

First thing first, I love the settings in your home. So beautiful. My first time seeing your real self in a video and you look handsome too

30 years of learning and playing guitar. That's such long years and I can see how you are playing it well even with your right hand. I have never seen anyone do that because just as you have said, it is typically played with the left hand for easy turnout.
You are setting a goal to learn how to play those circles with the right hand. Though it may be difficult but once you set your mind to it, you become perfect and I believe there would be a difference after a week from now. Thanks for sharing and I enjoyed your story behind the guitar.

30 years but I'm still learning! Oh yes, there is much more to learn.

Learning to play them was relatively easy. The real challenge will be to play just as well with both hands. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!🙂
