Dcity: finally understanding how the market works...

A long time ago, I was a very active player of the game dCity. There were some new things introduced and the UI was updated. Unfortunately, I was completely lost after that and I kind of neglected the game. Still, I was earning passive income from my city and so I never sold my NFT's and my SIM tokens.

A couple of days ago, I read a post by a friend and I decided to go back to the game and have a closer look at it. This was beneficial since now at least, I understand how the internal dcity market works...

Good that you figured out the market place. You can save a lot by making bids. I will have a look what's available in LEN now.

For the moment I only put some homeless guy for sale in LEN :-). Thanks for making your post about the game, it motivated me to get back to it!

Glad it helped. 👍❤️ I love the hive income from SIM too.

Could you share that post? I’m still lost

I've found the most usefull information directly in the game: https://dcity.io/info

You have a lot of inactive cards! More than 2/3 of them. That's what happens when you don't have enough workers for your buildings.

By the way, homeless people count for the total population. And there is a chance to convert them into workers.

I probably need to get some housing so that I get more people to work on my inactive cards.

That's the quickest way. There's a slow way. To put your problematic cards on the market at too high prices to sell them (if you don't want to sell them). They won't drain from your workforce, nor give you any benefits, but you can wait with them on the market until the population grows naturally. As it grows, you take cards out of the market and re-activate them.

Thanks man, I will try to do that :-)

I still haven't try dcity yet. I did buy a nft, the research center. I get paid a income from it !

That's the great thing about dcity. You can get several types of passive income from the game.

I think the market changed once but the new system is definitely more complicated compared to the previous one. I kind of gave up once I got a bug where I can't mine citizens on my city.

I just have seen through the first layer of complexity at the moment lol. There is still a lot of work to be done to get the game but I'm not sure I will go that far.

I saw this late so I am commenting late. I had the same problem after the game updated, it became hard to figure out how to take advantage. Although, I suppose I should just spent some hours trying to figure it out like I did when I first started playing. I think I got discouraged when the tax rates kept getting high and knocked down my income.

On a happy note, I succeeded in one area. Not spending or cashing out too much of the $SIM let the balance grow. Consequently I am earning daily $HIVE on that, so that is good.

I realised that I earned much more with my Sim balance than with my town... Either there is an issue with my town or maybe I should increase my Sim's :-)
