To believe in God almighty and not believe in miracles, is to not have faith, I know that many when they speak or think of miracles will think of things like what Jesus Christ did when he was on earth giving sight to the blind or making a paralytic walk, just to mention a few of his miracles.

But yes, God still works miracles and I have witnessed some of them and I am thankful for them. In fact, one was within my own family, I saw it and experienced it first hand. This happened when I was a young woman of about 21 years old, studying my first career.

My mother began to feel something that felt like a lump in her left breast and went to the doctor. After tests, it was determined that it was not a malignant tumor, but the doctors decided to operate to remove what was in her breast.

To our surprise, the day of the operation, the surgeon came out of the operating room and said something to my grandmother and her face was a poem. It turned out that when they operated on her they realized that the tumor was indeed malignant; we were facing yet another case of breast cancer. At that time they decided to remove the tumor and some lymph nodes to take measures.

I will not deny that I was very scared, as I thought the worst, especially because of my grandmother's face, who, being a retired nurse, knew what she was facing, but the one who was supposed to need support, was the one who lifted us all up and taught us a lesson.

One day, after she was discharged, she gathered us all in the living room of the house and said these words to us:

-“I don't want to see long faces, I have a great and powerful God, I know He will heal me.”

The strength and security with which my mother said those words changed all of us attitude, besides she never showed fear, sadness, depression or anything that contradicted what she said that day, some time later she underwent another operation in which they completely removed her right breast (Mastectomy) and I mistakenly believed that this would bring her down, because I know what breasts mean to a woman, and again I was wrong, when I touched her on the subject she said to me:

-“what is a breast against my life?”

My mother went through a long process of chemotherapies and radiotherapies, after a few years she was definitively discharged and never heard of cancer again in her life, she believed and was completely healed, this is nothing but a miracle, because I saw in the hospital next to her, women with less severe diagnoses than hers die, and my mother beat cancer and accompanied us many more years.

So I think the answer to Did I believe in miracles? And if I have witnessed any, it has already been given in the previous lines, I withdraw, ending my participation in the topic proposed for September 6th of Monthly Prompts | September INLEO and do you believe in miracles?

I believe in miracles. My life has been filled with unexpected wonders and unexplained events that prove to me that miracles are real. These experiences fill me with hope, faith, and gratitude, reminding me that anything is possible as long as you put your faith in your creator.

That's the point. To have faith in the right place and believe that God is the same, he does not change, his promises are true. Greetings

I love your first paragraph...if you ever believed in God but not in miracles, then you have no faith.
I also believe in miracles and that God is able to do the extra ordinary and impossible.

Your mother's faith was a strong one and God healed her. Most people, expect if it's bound to happen ignore the power of miracles and believing in God, so, they die in the process when they could have believed and tell God what they want and not.

Thank you for such nice words, I simply wrote what I believe and have seen. God is here, the point is whether we believe Him or not, whether we obey Him or not. Greetings, my beautiful friend.
