Today is #caturday a day to talk about michis and I have 7 of them, so in addition to stories lived with them, there are those of the cats that have crossed my path and I have rescued to help them at times when they have needed it and / or to get them a home, now among my 7 feline loves there are also different characters and also some pathologies, including the one that Señor Gato has.

Many already know Señor Gato, but for those who don't, I will tell you briefly Señor Gato at the age of 3 years old, suffered his first urinary obstruction product of having consumed during his first years bad quality cat food and once with dog food, besides he was neutered before his penis was fully developed, something that favors obstructions.

So, from that day began for both of them a learning process that brought many changes, the first thing was to understand that dog food is not the same as cat food, besides that not all food is of high quality, and that it is necessary that our kittens ingest clean and fresh water to keep their kidneys in optimal conditions.

But this was not enough, Señor Gato and the whole herd had to start feeding with homemade food, which includes some vegetables rich in liquids to allow or strengthen the intake of liquids and protein, as well as food suitable for carnivores like them, even with all this Mr. Cat had to be operated and has a lifetime treatment and just this month he must take his vitamin C to balance the alkaline pH of his urine, since in his case he produces struvite crystals, his urine has an alkaline pH (higher than 7. 5) and also the vet recommended the use of homeopathic drops that help him to clean his system and avoid cystitis.

So during the whole month of July my beloved Mr. Cat will have to take vitamin C and his homeopathic drops and I say this month, since it is vital to let him rest also of the Vitamin C, to avoid complications by excess, for it is a month of treatment and a month of rest and this way it is alternated.

These that you see in the picture are the homeopathic drops for the treatment of Señor Gato until recently had a cost of $ 5 in the version you see that is plastic if you opt for the glass container is more expensive, but in my case as the first time I buy the glass version what I do is pour the contents of the plastic container in the glass, today I found that the plastic version rose to $ 6.5 and glass a dollar more, ie $ 7.5.

It is important to point out that not all cats with urinary problems should take Vitamin C, it will depend on the cryateles it produces and under strict supervision of the Veterinarian, so do not self-medicate your kitty or it could be worse.

Hoy es #caturday un día para hablar de michis y yo tengo 7, así que además de historias vividas junto a ellos, están las de los gatos que se han cruzado en mi camino y he rescatado para auxiliarlos en momentos en los que lo han necesitado y/o para conseguirles un hogar, ahora entre mis 7 amores felinos hay además de diferentes caracteres también algunas patologías, entre ellas la que tiene Señor Gato.

Ya muchos conocen a Señor Gato, pero para los que no, les narro brevemente Señor Gato a los 3 años de edad, sufrió su primera obstrucción urinaria producto de haber consumido durante sus primeros años alimento para gatos de mala calidad y una vez con alimento para perros, además de que fue castrado antes de que su pene estuviera del todo desarrollado cosa que favorece las obstrucciones.

Así, desde ese día empezó para ambos un aprendizaje que trajo muchos cambios, lo primero fue comprender que la comida de perros no es igual que la de gatos, además de que no todos los alimentos son de calidad, además de que es necesario que nuestros mininos ingieran agua limpia y fresca para mantener sus riñones en óptimas condiciones.

Pero esto no basto además Señor Gato y toda la manada debió comenzar alimentarse con comida casera en la que se incluye una que otra verdura rica en líquidos para permitir o fortalecer la ingesta de líquidos y proteína, además de alimento adecuado para los carnívoros como ellos, aun con todo esto Señor Gato tuvo que ser intervenido y tiene un tratamiento de por vida y justamente este mes debe tomar su vitamina C para equilibrar el PH alcalino de su orina, ya que en su caso el produce cristales de estruvita, su orina tiene un pH alcalino (superior a 7.5) y además la veterinaria le recomendó el uso de unas gotas homeopáticas que lo ayudan a limpiar su sistema y evitar las cistitis.

Así durante todo el mes de julio mi amado Señor Gato deberá tomar vitamina C y sus gotas homeopáticas y digo este mes, ya que es vital dejarlo descansar también de la Vitamina C, para evitar complicaciones por exceso, por ello es un mes de tratamiento y un mes de descanso y así se va alternando

Estas que ven en la fotografía son las gotas homeopáticas para el tratamiento de Señor Gato hasta hace poco tuvieron un costo de 5 dólares en la versión que ven que es la de plástico si se opta por el envase de vidrio es mas costoso, pero en mi caso como la primera vez compre la versión de vidrio lo que hago es verter el contenido del envase de plástico en el vidrio, el día de hoy me encontré con que la versión de plástico subió a 6.5 $ y la vidrio un dólar mas, es decir, 7.5 $

Es importante señalar que no todos los gatos con problemas urinarios deben tomar Vitamina C, ese dependerá de los críateles que produzca y bajo estricta supervisión del Veterinario, así que no automediquen a sus mininos o podría ser peor.

En resumen, ya este todo preparado para que Señor Gato comience su tratamiento y así evitar recaídas y mucho mas porque actualmente no está comiendo alimento medicado, ahora me despido hasta una próxima publicación y deseando que sus peludos gocen de perfecta salud.
