My experiences with computer viruses

For those of us who are in hive is common to work with a PC or otherwise with a cell phone, I have done it with both, but I prefer to do it from the PC, just as if you work in an office it is very likely that you make use of a computer and most likely like me, you have had an encounter with a virus that came to make us live an unpleasant and unforgettable experience or in my case I remember at least three.

Now, the first thing is to remember or clarify what computer viruses are, because just like software they have diversified and even specialized in some area of attack, in general a computer virus is a malicious program that spreads from one computer to another and damages the software and data. Viruses can damage the performance and parts of the computer, as well as steal confidential information.

I remember the first time we had a computer at home and as long as I can remember I have liked music, I was downloading songs from an application called Ares, which downloaded a song and 10 viruses and from one day to another the computer began to behave strangely and I had no idea how delicate it is to download files from the Internet, so I went to a technician friend of a neighbor and it turned out that the hard drive had an invasion of worms so we had to format the computer and all the information was lost.

Then, being in college and having already had knowledge, my laptop was protected for a long time by Kaspersky antivirus, especially because I used a lot of pendrive, which are usually contaminated when in contact with computers with viruses.

But when I got to hive it became evident to me the need for a computer, so I got a barely used laptop, which was useful for a few months and having Windows Defender, I thought I was sufficiently protected, but who knows where I got or if my son or daughter visited a page full of viruses, but also suddenly the laptop began with strange behavior and had to be formatted, I did not lose information because I had some moderately important things in the cloud that can be useful, but also dangerous.

Now, the crudest moment that I was attacked by a computer virus was almost a year ago when they stole my hive account, the attack was through a malware that started attacking my networks, paypal and mails and through this they reached the cloud and so they found my hive passwords, which I foolishly had in my mail and so for almost 12 hours if not more, they took control of my hive account, in this publication I shared in detail what happened and how I managed to recover my account.

The most important thing here is that we must be aware that computer viruses exist and many times behind them there are people who are dedicated to steal much or little that someone may have in their accounts whether wallets or bank accounts, especially if someone who does not have much knowledge of computers and usually believe in ads or calls from supposed vendors offering services or posing as companies.

Obviously, most of the time it is the users themselves who give entry to these viruses, by entering dubious pages, downloading programs from pirate pages, which usually suggest or bring some other program with them.

Finally, my recommendation is to be careful with the pages to which we enter and what we download in our computers, since in some cases we can affect them severely to the point of losing the hard disk and important information, without counting the information that they can take out of our computers if we are of those that we happen to save passwords in the browsers, so having a good antivirus could be of help, but in the end it depends on us not to be affected by computer viruses.

Thus, I bid farewell to my participation in the topic proposed for January 28th in the Monthly Prompts | January INLEO
