Talking about musical goals, it could mean different things to different people, and people view it from different perspectives. To me, it simply asks the questions, What are those things I need to improve myself regarding music, what are those skills I need to acquire to improve my singing skills, what are those tools I need to purchase to improve the quality of my music, and also what are the musical instruments I need to acquire and learn to improve myself as a music lover? Before I move on, I would like to wish you all a happy new year. I wish you all a prosperous and achievement-filled year ahead.
This topic is something we can all relate to, as we are all familiar with new year resolutions. It is common knowledge that when we write down our resolutions/goals, then there is a higher probability that we will achieve them, which is why new year resolutions have always been encouraged. Now going back to the topic of discussion, which is "my music goals for 2025." Thinking about this topic helped me realize a lot about my stand in music. I realized that I can only vouch for a little of my singing skills as I still have a lot to learn; I don't even know how to play any musical instrument, even though I've always wanted to learn how to play one, etc. So I decided to write down my goals here and to work towards achieving them, while hoping to God I'm able to achieve them.
Skills i want to learn to improve on singing
The most important skill I want to learn this year to improve my singing is vocal riffs and runs. For as long as I can remember, I have always found it difficult to sing with riff embellishments. Being young, I thought it was a natural-born skill; growing up, I realized it could be self-taught, but I just never bothered to learn. Lately, I have been feeling the need to learn it, so I decided that it's going to happen this year and plan to achieve this by consulting with people that know how to, going to YouTube to learn, or even signing up for classes to learn this.
Musical instruments I want to learn
I have always been interested in learning the guitar, right from my childhood, but I couldn't due to some reasons. So last year I met and became friends with two brothers who played musical instruments (keyboard and guitar) well. So I told them my plight; of course the guitarist agreed to teach me if I bought my own, but being a student, I couldn't afford it at the time. And by the time I could afford it, he was too busy for me. So we talked about it, and he advised me to start learning the keyboard since his brother has the time to teach me that now. And so I decided to learn that the only problem was no means to buy a keyboard at the time. But now that I have a willing tutor, I have decided to buy and learn it no matter what this year, so I can improve on myself.
Tools I need to buy
I got introduced to the hive a little while ago, and since I have been here, I get challenged day by day to do more. So as a result of this, I decided to get a mini-recording kit. I got to know about it when my friend who introduced me to hive invited me over so that I could use his to record my song. It was such a wonderful experience for me, so wonderful that I even recorded so many songs using it. It comes with a sound card, microphones, a headset and other things. I just love the way it cancels out background noises. So I decided I am going to get one for myself as soon as I can, considering the cost to improve the quality of my sounds.
Other tools that interest me includes, LED light/ring light, phone stand, and nice background because these tools improve the quality of videos made with them.
These are my goals for the year 2025, thanks to the afri-inleo initiative for helping me write them down to improve my chances of achieving them. Thank you all for reading this tooā¤š„°. I hope you achieve your goals tooš„°š¤©.
