Hello great people of Afritunes community, I am @adyma and I am so glad to be part of this week's edition. For week 129, I will be doing a song by Mercy Chinwo titled "Bor Ekom"
Bor Ekom means "receive thanks" in the Efik dialect. This song reminds me of the past month that I was seriously ill, for me the hospital is one the worst places I should go but because of the sickness I had no other choice.
Getting there, they ran a series of tests on me, after days the results were out.
The Doctor called me in order to explain the results to me, looking at her face, I perceived that all wasn't going well. I sat as she started explaining, she started by telling me that my BP is high and other scary results. The last thing that left me broken was when she mentioned a kidney malfunctioning in my system, I should go run a kidney test.
Leaving the Doctor's office, I cried uncontrollably series of thoughts came into my mind, I was like, if my kidneys have failed how I'm I going to survive?
God is this how my life will end??
I told my family about the Doctor's report and they all prayed for me.
To God be the Glory, I went for the test and the result showed that my kidneys are functioning very well and I was very happy.
Now, Bor Ekom is a song of Thanksgiving that I am rendering to my God, for what he has done for me. This line in the song "Sia for mu tieghe nte owo o" is a verse I love so much it means "since you are not like man"
I use this medium to thank God for his report not being the same with the Doctor's report. He turned things around just for my good, may his name alone be praised.
