Troll Family Portrait
As soon as I saw @shaka's photo for this week's collage contest Round #189, I thought of @quantumg's trolls.
@quantumg's Troll
@quantumg created this character and offered it in six different poses in the LIL Gallery. At first I thought I'd make a troll family, with children, parents and pets. There are so many poses! Then I settled for a loving father holding his baby, nicely dressed wife, and perky cats. The cats are not trolls, but borrowed fuzzy ears from @shaka's template.

I will admit that I had a lot of trouble working out the plan. There was so much going on in the template photo that I couldn't find room for the trolls. I had to clear the landscape and then add elements back in.
Whenever I want to lend an exotic accent to a picture I think of @muelli's plant, also from the LIL Gallery:

The cat is a regular in my collages. @yaziris contributed several poses of this cat in the LIL Gallery.

The trolls of course needed a little modification to fit my idea. The father needed to be looking down lovingly at the baby. Therefore, I had to tilt the troll's head and change its eyes a bit. I also had to change the position of the hands so Papa could hold baby.
Baby, of course, needed to shrink. He also needed a diaper (I drew that in) and a bottle (from Pixabay). His hands also had to be adjusted so they would hold the bottle.
Mama was a little bit of a challenge. I didn't want a stereotypical female, with a skirt and makeup. Hair (thank you @quantumg) would be borrowed and tailored to fit her head and face.

Chin whiskers had to go! The purse was inspired by the Late Queen Elizabeth, who always carried a purse in just such a way, even at the most formal engagements. The purse is from a photo I had contributed to LIL some time ago.
Now I was ready to place my trollish cats and troll family in their troll environment. The final touch was a Lunapic filter, gently applied.
Here are the elements, credited, that I used in my collage.

As always, the LMAC Gallery of Images, LIL provided me with essential elements for my collage. Anyone on Hive can contribute to the library and everyone can borrow from it. Learn about the procedure here.
We have had some spectacular contests with handsome prizes in the last few week. The contest continues until tomorrow evening, so there is plenty of time to get in an entry. Jump in and try your hand at making a collage. Truly, it is fun! Check out the LMAC community blog to have a look this week's entries, and entries from previous weeks.
As @shaka has said many times, everyone is an artist. I don't enter the contest, but make a collage because I can't resist.
Thank you for reading. Peace and health to all.
