I sense your eagerness to delve into the enthralling part of this story, so without further delay, let us dive right in and unravel the tale. I wouldn't want to keep you on the edge of your seats, eagerly anticipating the main event, haha!
So, there was this girl whom I had a crush on since my days in primary school. Oh, how I admired her to the point of becoming a shy, bumbling mess whenever she was around. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her whenever the opportunity presented itself.
You see, I am the kind of person who rarely lets a lady know about my affection, for I often contemplate the possibilities. What if she doesn't feel the same way about me? Being rejected by a lady is an experience I never wished to encounter in my lifetime. I harbored deep feelings for this girl, and truthfully, she captured my heart at a young age.
Now, I know you are eager to discover what transpired, fear not, I shall regale you with the entire story. Unfortunately, to my great misfortune, I never mustered the courage to confess my feelings to this lovely young lady before she bid farewell to our school during primary 5, transferring to a different institution. The news hit me like a ton of bricks, and I was overwhelmed with sadness, wishing I had poured out my heart to her long ago.
I found myself contemplating how to reconnect with her once again. I devised a plan, pretending to be ill at my current school, hoping it would convince my dad to transfer me to a different institution. Fortunately, my scheme bore fruit, and my dad agreed to enroll me in a new school. Guess what? It happened to be the very same school where my crush had found herself. Oh, the joy that consumed me at the thought of reuniting with her!
This time, I was determined not to let the opportunity slip away. I vowed to find a way to confess my feelings before it was too late. Despite my tendency to gaze at her and such, she had a way of returning my gaze, which made the experience all the more exhilarating.
As fate would have it, we crossed paths once more at our new school, but alas, I still found myself unable to engage her in conversation, let alone express my affection. One aspect I truly admired about her was her remarkable intelligence. Fast forward to our transition into Junior High School 2, my crush left my new school again, and relocated another institution.
Imagine the anguish that gripped my heart, leaving behind my familiar surroundings to join her at her new school, only to have her depart for another educational establishment. I was devastated, utterly crestfallen. The ironic part was, I couldn't conjure up a convincing story for my dad to transfer me once more, as my current school was renowned and considered one of the finest in the region. Thus, I had to endure the pain and hope for a fortunate reunion in the future.
More than four years passed without a trace of her, until one fateful day, I stumbled upon her presence in a friend's status update. I swiftly took her contact and sent her
a text. Oh, the sheer joy that enveloped me upon hearing from her! My happiness knew no bounds, and she too seemed delighted to reconnect. This occurred during my first year at university.
At the time, I was in a long-distance relationship with another girl, but upon meeting my long-lost crush, I made the decision to find a way to end things with my current girlfriend and start a relationship with her. Alas, that decision turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life.
Initially, I believed everything would work out wonderfully, given our mutual affection. Curious as to why I chose to part ways with my girlfriend? Brace yourself, for it's a hilariously amusing reason. It all took place during the onset of the COVID-19.
I informed my girlfriend that I was terrified the world would come to an end, and thus, I needed to focus solely on my spiritual journey. No more sinful living for me, you see. It was an utterly ridiculous excuse for a breakup, I am well aware. I did it solely to reunite with my long-time crush.
And so, we embarked on a romantic relationship, with her initially claiming to be a virgin. I was overjoyed upon hearing those words, feeling a sense of pride. Little did I know, this girl was playing with my emotions. Eventually, she confessed her past and revealed that she was not, in fact, a virgin, and her "body count" exceeded a single digit.
Naturally, I was emotionally affected by this revelation, but being the understanding person that I am, I reasoned that we are all human and prone to mistakes. I remained accepting and reassured her that my love for her remained unwavering, regardless of her past.
However, this leniency of mine seemed to be taken for granted. Her affection and care for me diminished, and she would go days without even uttering a simple "hello." I grew increasingly distraught, as her behaviour caught me completely off guard. To my astonishment, I discovered that she had reunited with her troublesome ex-boyfriend, after I had helped her heal from their tumultuous past. Instead of expressing gratitude, she repaid me with such malice.
There was even a time when I went on vacation, and she seized the opportunity to borrow my phone for an entire week. Little did I know, she installed another WhatsApp account on my phone, using it to engage in conversations with various guys, including her ex-boyfriend. Imagine my disappointment.
I realized she had saved her ex-boyfriend's contact under a different name on my phone, and suddenly, he began viewing my status updates and posting videos of their escapades on his status. She couldn't even be bothered to tell me she was fed up and desired a breakup. I was left profoundly saddened, and it was through the support of a dear friend that I was able to heal. He explained that she didn't deserve me in the first place, urging me to move on.
The pain I experienced stemmed from the fact that she returned to her ex, leaving me reeling. And this concludes my unforgettable dating story.
