Hello community, I hope you are very well, this time I decided to dedicate some time to the #splinterlands contest and I want to submit my entry to the art contest this week @Splinterlands @steemmonsters for it I took the Flame-Mephit card that I like a lot, especially for the theme of fire, is the first time I draw this card and decided to put some effort to the whole process, although it took me some time, especially for the background that in the end I had to leave unfinished 100% but the result seems pretty good.
For this piece I made a simple construction with a sketch, then I moved it to block or stain work to go to a cleaner work, I really like this process for work. At this point I liked the finish, then in a new layer I applied a base color to create the fire, giving highlights and marking the shadows.
Given that point, I continued defining the figure, and adding small highlights. I want to highlight that for this piece I did not use any type of artline, I only worked in blocks of color in several layers.
Now for the substance I must admit that I was a little messy and I constantly changed my ideas and it was a little fun until I saw that it consumed more time than it should and it stopped being pleasant, so I must admit that the substance of this piece is not finished in its entirety, I hope you will forgive me for that mistake and still enjoy the piece.
