The song was composed as a means of praying to God for His divine intervention on the land of Nigeria. Nigeria is currently battling with numerous challenges and it is only God that can put an end to those challenges. The song really said it all on the status of the youth and entire citizen of Nigeria
The lyrics of the song goes thus
Chorus: Father we plead, our lord we cry unto you.Nigeria is in your hands, change her for better our lord.

The youth are jobless, the employed ones are denied of their entitlement. The suffering is too much lord put an end to it, change her for better our lord.
Let it be well with us till our old age, let it be well with us. Remove bitterness from our life. Answer our prayer oh lord
