This was a mushroom walk I did a few days ago near the coast of Meuraksa. It just so happens that my friend @naisfreedom lives there. I am grateful for his kindness in accompanying me to explore a garden filled with bushes, close to his house. It also happened that it had rained heavily two days earlier, so I decided to hunt for mushrooms there.
...and that mushroom walk was not in vain. I spotted piles of "gecko eggs" on a fallen coconut tree.
"Gecko eggs" is our term for those mushrooms. They grow through the gaps in the coconut fronds.
The friendly weather and sufficient light allowed me to take pictures directly in their natural habitat.
Those fairy inkcaps were still fresh. Fine hairs and "granules of sugar" were on the mushroom fruit body. If we had found them too late, they would probably have withered.
Then we moved on to another spot. But unfortunately, we didn't find any others. Yeah, we only got "gecko eggs" that day.
