Por cierto, al final del post les dejo el video que use de inspiracion
Good evening Makeup Power!
Today was makeup art day, I was listening to a song that I really like from one of my favorite bands and in the video clip (which has better special effects than any Marvel movie and I'm not the only one who thinks so you can see the comments of the video and everyone thinks the same hahaha) we can see different scenarios and one that seems like hell, even comes out a huge demon that is quite scary, although it is not the kind of music that everyone likes I love it and I wanted to be inspired a little in that scenario to make this makeup, the idea was to make an effect of broken skin and inside it this kind of lava, it was a really exhausting job for me, because it required to use a lot of pulse and many neon orange tones to make them stand out and shine like real lava, it would have been even more shocking with some neon orange pigment on top, in fact I have one but I realized that it is a very soft orange tone, it doesn't even look like neon, so I decided not to apply it because it could ruin my makeup, instead I used water based eyeliners in neon tones, I used red, orange and a little yellow, I took some pictures using blue led lights so the orange color would stand out much more, I really liked the result although the process was very difficult, I hope you like it.
By the way, at the end of the post I leave you the music video I used as inspiration.
After cleaning and moisturizing my face, I started to apply glue stick on the left eyebrow, because on that side of the face I would draw the lava and I wanted to paint very comfortably, I applied 5 coats of glue, let it dry and then sealed with translucent powder, I started to do my left eye makeup, on that side I wanted a simple makeup that would make a different contrast with the lava, so I chose a brown eyeshadow and blend it, right in the center of the eyelid I applied bright red eyeshadow and also on the water line, with a very bright light brown tone I illuminated the tear line, I applied mascara and then I applied primer, foundation and contour on the nose.
I took black body paint and a thin brush and started to make the broken skin shape on the face, for this point I didn't plan to paint my neck but it occurred to me to do it, then, before continuing with the face I decided to focus on the neck by filling the shape I drew with black and then applying thin lines with neon orange, trying to imitate the shape of the stones and lava, I added some volume in the corners of the "broken skin" to give it a little more realism, for this I used brown eye shadows and white paint to illuminate and give a 3d effect.
After finishing with the neck make up I started to fill the face with black paint and sealing with translucent powder.
Similarly, in the face part I also added shadows and highlights in the corner of the broken skin to give it volume, then I filled with orange and added details in red and yellow in some areas, to finish the makeup, I applied highlighter on the nose and left cheekbone and chose a lipstick for the left side of a brown tone.
Finally some photos with the light ring and others with led lights, I was very impressed with the level of brightness under the led lights, it looks magical, I took many photos and chose my favorites.
