Challenge Rules
AIM TRUE
Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.
This week we need to write about a ruleset and not about a monster, which I found a very good idea from the team. The Aim True ruleset makes all the monsters on the battlefield to hit their target without missing any of their attacks. This sounds amazing, because it a helps to math out my setup without the need to pray for luck.
This Ruleset doesn't give Ranged monsters the ability to attack from the first position. Choose higher speed or higher health combined with high damage output. Return Fire ability is great in this ruleset, but the Blind, flying, dodge are useless, because it is not possible to evade any incoming melee or ranged attack..
The Battle Ruleset
Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.
Aim True: Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.
This is a nice amount of mana cap for the battle and three color plus the Dragons are available to play.
My Team Composition
Quix the Devious give -1 ranged attack and speed to all of his enemy monsters. His cost is only 4 and using him I am able to choose another Splinter (in my case is the Fire) to mix their monsters with the Dragon monsters.
The Djinn Chwala is my favorite tank from long time, because he has decent stats and amazing abilities. The Thorns will refelct 2 damage back to any melee attacker hitting him. The Enrage will increase his stats 1.5 times if he taken any damage to his health. As a previous reward card he is quite cheap and worth to buy some for the future.
The Forgotten One is a strong tank and I used him as an off-tank to protect my backline if the Chwala would fall. He has retaliate, which means when he is attacked he has a chance to attack back to his enemy.
The Tenyii Striker is a Sneak* creature and such he will target the last creature of the enemy backline and if I am lucky those are my opponent damage dealers.
The Lava Launcher is also a reward card from the past and like the Chwala is still very affordable. His main abilities is that he can shoot from the first position and he has Stun.
The Dhampir Infiltrator is a nice Sneak creature with a lot of damage thanks to his Double Strike ability. This will allows him to attacck twice in each round and kill their backline as quick as possible.
The Tusk the Wide has a lot of health to protect my backline from enemy Sneak monsters and he also has the Inspire ability to increase all of his friendly monsters melee attack by one as long as he lives. |
The Battle

My opponent took a very strong Obsidian team with a lot of high magic damage creatures. In the first round my Infiltrator managed to kill his poisonous Uraes, but sadly I lost my Chwala as awell, because he doesn't have any protection against magic damage.
The second round started by killing his high health tank and myin damage dealer of Mitica Headhunter. His magic damage was more than enough to lose my Forgotten One as well. Usually it is very difficult to hit the Regal Peryton, because he has Flying and high speed, but the Aim True ruleset helped a lot to kill him with two attacks.
The rest of the battle was easy, because I had much more health than my opponent monsters. 🙂
Do you like the Aim True Ruleset? Why or why not?
Yes, I like this ruleset, because it is not decreasing and limiting anything, but allows you to use a predictable strategy without any miss, dodge or evade mechanics the game uses.
