Friends, it is being heard everywhere in the community that after Covid 19, cases of heart attacks are increasing among the youth. Because before Covid, cases of heart attack were mostly found in people of 60 years or 60 years of age, but now what has happened that the incidence of heart attack is increasing in people of 30-40 years of age also. Today, I saw 3 people in my hospital who had come to the emergency room and had a heart attack, due to which we had to do angiography on them and after doing the angiography, an artery block in their heart was found.
Friends, people believe that heart attack cases have increased after Covid-19, but my opinion is that this is 50% right and 50% wrong. It is not that earlier heart attacks did not occur among young people. Heart attacks are also being found among the youth since 2011. I have also seen in my life that heart attacks used to occur among young people. But the people who had Covid-19 have thick blood and due to this, they have blood pressure, breathing difficulty and if they have been given steroids during Covid-19, then they also suffer from sugar disease which is called hyperglycemia. So such people have more chances of having a heart attack.
In my view, 50% of those people come who have not had Covid-19 but still have heart attacks. They chewed tobacco, smoked, did not pay attention to their diet, were addicted to junk food, had a sedentary lifestyle and did not pay attention to their fitness. So, in such people, heart attack will occur if not today or after 20 years, but if the lifestyle continues like this, it will occur sooner or later. So in this way 50% of these people have heart attack even without Covid-19. Therefore, I do not believe that heart attacks have increased only after getting Covid-19.
