Pluchea indica commonly known as Indian fleabane or wild sage, is a plant species that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is a perennial shrub that grows up to one to two meters in height and is native to Asia, including India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. When i travel to Bangladesh i collect Pluchea indica plant and grow in my garden. These flowers are small and whitish-pink arranged in clusters or corymbs at the end of the branches. The fruit is an achene that is tipped with a tuft of white hairs.
This Plant used for traditional medicine and remedy for various ailments. The leaves, stem, and roots of the plant are used to treat fever, cough, asthma, diarrhea, dysentery, and skin diseases. The plant also has anti inflammatory and analgesic properties and is used to treat rheumatism and arthritis.
