Very thoughtful post indeed! Personally, I like appreciation and find it valuable on a personal level. Work-wise I won't mind recognition esp. if it entails monetary gains. LOL! Have a restful and enjoyable weekend!

I think different types of activities we do see different things. I tend to lean towards appreciation for most things.

At work though, it is nice to be recognised for the hard work we put in. Of course as you point out, more cash in our pockets is a nice recognition.

However, even at work without some appreciation too, it can feel a bit cold and clinical.

Appreciation is so important, and I far prefer it over simple recognition. Unless the recognition is coming from a place of understanding about what it is that I did, it's pretty meaningless to me. Thank you for clarifying the distinction @awah! 😀🙏💚✨🤙
