Along the Sarine river is situated Freiburg named in French language, a charming bilingual city in Switzerland. It was a short stop last year on a beautiful sonny day. Of course the city is also known for its fine cheese Gruyere or Fondue. I must also say my favorite fondue next to Moitie - Moitie and Appenzeller, but that day was a warm day and no fondue time so we continue for a short walk. The best way to discover the very well-preserved old town of Fribourg is by foot.
From the old town descend along the cobblestone streets you see the Berne Bridge.
Here, from just a distance, the city's fortifications, which were built in the Middle Ages between the 13th and 15th centuries.
From onether bridge you can see the Bern Bridge was originally constructed using wooden supports. Its form as we see it today dates back to 1653.
Thanks for your visit have a wonderful time!
