It's Saturday, and time for my #SaturdaySavers update. A very truncated one, I'm on holiday and enjoying some serious sun and warmth (yaaay!) but it means I haven't got all my Excel toys to hand.

Without Excel, I haven't got a table of progress as I normally do, but here's a bit of update data and commentary.
Overview of Last Week
The main thing with last week was that it was my first week back on Hive after taking a short break to deal with reality.
That means that most of what happened was natural growth for a week in which I hardly even logged in. It covers a single post and a little bit of curation, and that's it. It's actually useful data, because it gives me a baseline of how my account would grow if I had to totally step away from Hive for any reason.
Hive Power during this downtime grew from 9746.503 to 9763.33, an increase of 16.827. Almost all of this was from a bit of curation and some investments like EDS that pay out with HIVE drips. !
HBD on the other hand grew by exactly zero, which is to be expected when I didn't actually post anything. Accrued interest so far is 6.1 HBD, so at the new lower interest rate I need to add around 530HBD for the monthly interest to hit my target of 30+ HBD again. I'm wary of doing this at the current price of HIVE. Additionally, the fact that the interest rate was dropped in a single jump rather than smaller incremental changes over a period of time makes me think that it's governance is a matter of knee-jerk reactions, which isn't something I'd expect to see in a serious stablecoin.
LEO grew by 12, and I'm well over my target for the year. When I get back from holiday (or maybe even while I'm still here) I should try to make more of an effort to post in Threads. I gained a delegation from LPUD, and feel really bad that I'm not making the most of it !
I gained 1.75 EDS over the last week, a mix of EDSMM and delegation rewards. You know what I like most about EDS ? No drama. They just sit there quietly doing their thing and dripping HIVE to me every week. To me, that's the prefect investment.
I'll sign off for now saying that I hope you're all having a week as good as mine, but if you are that's awesome, because there's not much better in life than sitting on a nice hotel balcony, sipping Chufi, tapping away on a laptop and watching the drunken tourists on the seafront below making fools of themselves 😁

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
