Hello Cinnamon Cup Coffee friends
I want to tell you about that great day when everything changed forever. It was that day when my husband said to me: We have a great opportunity for our lives, what do you think if we dedicate ourselves to growing coffee? Are you willing to leave the city with me? We have always dreamed of making our life outside the city and this could be the moment.

I said, but explain to me, how can we do it right now, and how we solve our responsibilities, our child's school is here in the city and it will be a long time before this school year is over.

And he explained to me that the neighbor of a friend who lives in the countryside, but very close to our city, is selling some land with a small house where we can stay and he has an extension of land that is not very big and that it would be very good for us to start planting coffee, as we have always dreamed after a while ago when a friend told us that he became a coffee farmer and explained to us how we could do it and left us very excited.

We agreed to travel every day from the countryside to the city to continue our jobs for a while and to take our daughter to school since coffee plants take two years to start bearing fruit.

Then came another topic of conversation and that was how we could get that land, as we did not have enough savings in my opinion to do so at that time. Then came a very interesting part, and that is that with the interest that the land would not be alone, the current owner agreed that we would begin to inhabit it and pay him little by little in 6 installments.

These opportunities do not appear all the time and the capacity that we have to take them is the difference in continuing as we are or making a great positive leap in our lives, in the same way, they represent an adventure.

We got so excited that we immediately began to think about coffee at all times and at all moments, we sent for some coffee seeds in the American Andes with an aunt who grows coffee in that region, and she sent us seeds of two species of coffee.

My daughter and I prepared some seedlings to see our first plants grow, this was a very significant and exciting moment, but we had to be very patient until we finally saw the first stem and the first coffee leaf grow because my aunt warned us that it is a very slow process.

We are still waiting for them to be born, but we are already preparing the land where we are going to transplant them when they are ready.

All this gives us a lot of illusion and we are making big plans, we will be great coffee growers and we will export coffee to the northern latitudes.

When you drink a cup of coffee two years from now, remember this story and think that maybe this coffee comes from Amelia's plantation.

I hope you liked my story.

Aho!

I’m always creating original content, any topic I write about on my blog is approached from my experience and my personal point of view "as I lived it and as I see it" unless I indicate otherwise, and I will always be attentive to provide information to the community. As in this case, my blog banners and language icons were created in Canva and Pixlr and the icons of my networks I edited to adapt them to my personal brand in Canva with its free elements. The photos were taken with my mobil. Contest image made by the organisers for my free use.

The feeling of having to drink from the coffee you planted by yourself is unbeatable
