Jackson sells male wears in the popular Designers shopping mall. For close to a fortnight he has not made any sales while his neighbours and friends were busy crushing it. He sat up one morning and thought over his misfortunes with regards to sales and low patronage.
The next day, he approached his friend Kingsley to inquire about how they go about their sales. Kingsley at first refused to talk. He was generally attributing it to God and nothing more. But Jackson wouldn't take just that. He knows that these guys are doing some other things to drive up sales which they don't want to tell him. He kept pressing Kingsley for some ready-made solutions to his problem.
Having seen that Jackson will never give up, Kingsley them opened up. He told Jackson to apply some tricks like going for inferior goods and then presenting them to a would-be buyer as the genuine product and then lower his price. This was many will flock to his shop due to the lower price. Jackson thanked him and left.
When he got to his clothing shop, he sat down and thought over tht whole thing. He has built a reputation for selling a high quality products that stand the test of time. And irrespective of the price people still buy. But this year has been different. The economy is not smiling at all.
He does not want any negative publicity of his shop which has been known to display only the best wears. But he needs to make sales and foot his bills. He decided to play the game a bit and see how it goes. The next buyer that came was his testing guinea pig. He confused him with lesser or inferior goods for the original one. The young man bought the idea and purchased a large quantity and left. Jackson was surprised initially as his little silly game worked smoothly. Silently however he prayed for the young man not to discover what he had done to him. As he was contemplating these the next buyer walked in and he walked towards him to find out what he wants. Within his heart he knows he will still play the tricks once again.
