SIBLINGS RIVALRY

in #hive-1707982 months ago

While the atmosphere breezed with serenity in the metropolis, a little war waged like a storm in the small walls of Montenegro's residence. The two siblings were at it again. George and Alexander seemed to be going at it hammer and tongs this time.

"How dare you interfere with project 3 without my permission", Alexander barked angrily, strutting into the house like a wild lion.

"I didn't realize I needed your permission to handle the business father so dearly entrusted into my hands", George answered with slight mockery in his tone.

"Don't try to play tricks on me, you know very well that it is way out of your jurisdiction" Alexander said, getting more agitated.

" I have no jurisdiction, dear brother," George answered cockily.

"Your last warning, stop interfering, or you won't like what you'll see next". Alexander said in a dangerously low tone, closing the distance between them.

"Boys! What's going on here?" Their Aunty, Rose, asked as she walked into the house carrying her luggage, to find both of them at throats with each other.

Rolling her eyes at her two nephews, she dropped her luggage beside the couch and called for the maids to bring them up to her room.

"Aunty, I see you're back", George spoke, first trying to get away from his brother, who was almost on the verge of losing his temper.

"Yes I am, don't tell me you two are at it again" she said, looking at the both of them sternly.

"Of course not, Brother and I were just talking", George said, smiling ear to ear.

"Welcome Aunty! How was your trip?" Alexander said, taking a step to hug her.

"Oh my dear! It was great" she said with a smile

"But that doesn't answer my question young man" Aunty Rose said, folding her hands in front of her chest.

"Aunty, nothing is going on, just tell him to stay out of my way.

"I've got to run. I'll see you later."

He said, pecking her on the cheek.

"Oh wait! I have a message for both of you from your father " Aunty Rose said, stopping him in his tracks.

"Alexander, your father is dying. He doesn't have much time left. He wishes to see both of you before he dies." She continued.

Alexander was the eldest of the two siblings. He could be dangerously calm at times. Although he had a terrible temper, he was the smarter one among both of them. George, on the other hand, was more of the outgoing type. He was the last born and currently the acting CEO of the Negro's Enterprise, their family business. He often basked in the privilege given to him by his father and usually overstepped his boundaries.

Lord Graham, their father, had been as ruthless and strict to his children since the death of his wife. She died giving birth to George and since then he hasn't been the same. So, while George grew up not knowing his mother. The pain was still very much there for both Alexander and their father. And in pursuit to numb the pain, Lord Graham drowned himself in his work. Investing more time in his business and leaving Aunty Rose, their mother's sister, to fend for and take care of the children. So neither Alexander nor George grew up to know their father that well. They only met his strict and ruthless nature, and for Alexander that was the moment that changed everything.

It was three years ago, but he could still remember it like it was yesterday. How could he forget? It was the day he decided he had no father.

"Where are you coming from?"

His father boomed, as he walked into the house. The veins in his neck sticking out with rage.

It was raining heavily that faithful night, and he had just got back from work. His father had received word obviously from Anastasia, his supposed bride, to-be that he hadn't been showing up for their date and was now waiting for him at home.

Apparently, he was being forced to marry a young woman whom he knew nothing about nor did he love to pay back the millions their father borrowed from their business.

As stubborn as his father, Alexander had bluntly refused, making it clear that he was not going to pay for his father's mistake and ruin his life in the process.

"You good for nothing child! what wrong have I done bringing you into this world?" His father spat out, with venom dripping as he spoke.

"Very well then, since you have refused to marry Anastasia, I, your father, dissolve you from your position as acting CEO of the Negro's enterprise."

" From today onwards, I take away all the rights and privileges you have in business.

The air was thick with tension, and with each word his father spoke it felt like sharp knives boring holes in his heart. And as he left that night, he vowed to himself that he would never let his father weigh him down again. He would get out of his father's grip and survive on his own.

It had been three years since he'd last set eyes on his father after that argument. Three years since, he took everything away from him without a blink. But right there and then, her words felt like cold water washing all over him. He was torn between his emotions. He was not ready yet to make amends, but this might be his only chance to see his father one last time.

With his back still turned to his aunty, he replied

"I'll think about it" and walked away with so many emotions swirling in his mind.

What a beautiful story you got there, parent should create time for their kids, as much as they care for them physically, they should also be available for them emotionally.

A beautiful story boss, this is the reason why parents should be careful and even extra careful when dealing with their children. They should create more time for them and listen to them from time to time
