Winning with Obsidian

in #hive-133232 days ago

This is a battle that I took my time in choosing units and I'm glad it ended in a victory

My summoner was Obsidian. This is an earth summoner that adds +1 to the attack of magic monsters. This is why I decided to use a lot magic monsters.
I used Mycelic Infantry in the first position. I know that melee attack monsters are meant for the first position. This is a powerful monster. Its attack power is 3. One of the things that makes it a good fit for this position is its shield ability which protects it from melee and ranged attacks to an extent.

I used Mycelic Slipspawn in the second position. Magic attack monsters like this can occupy any position in battle. It's health stat makes it very formidable. With the taunt ability, it draws attention to itself while it also attacks enemy units.

Third position on my team was for Regal Peryton. This flying monster is another magic attack monster. Although its attack is small, it has good health and it is very fast.

Goblin Psychic was in the fourth position. This monster is valuable because of its ability to heal other units. In addition to that, it is a magic attack monster that gives more strength to my team's attack.

I used Goblin Tower in the fifth position. This a ranged attack monster and so thought it would be perfect at the end of my line up. It has 3 armors to protect its health and that guarantees it enough time in battle

Xenith Archer was put in the last position, especially due to the fact that it is a ranged attack monster, and is more effective when attacking from a distance.

In round 1, obsidian was supposed to increase the attack power of my magic units but because my opponent used Thaddius Brood as summoner, it countered the effect of obsidian. My units attacked the enemy tank, Cursed Windeku. Attacks from Mycelic Slipspawn, Goblin Psychic and others were too much for it. Eventually it's life was depleted and it was eliminated. Mycelic Slipspawn was attacked, majorly because of taunt, but it stayed strong.

In round 2, Shadow Snitch took over the first enemy position. My magic units attacked it head on and in no time it was eliminated. Mycelic Slipspawn was continuously attacked but it still remained in battle. Carrion Shade was next and in one strike, Goblin Tower eliminated it

In round 3, Rift Wing took over the first position in the enemy line up, my units, with great contribution from Mycelic Infantry, once again attacked it without mercy and it was eliminated. Crypt beetle was the next in line and it was eliminated swiftly by my units

In round 4, Silent Sha-vi was the only remaining enemy unit. With attacks from Mycelic Slipspawn and Goblin Psychic, Silent Sha-vi was eliminated and I won the battle. All of my units were still in tact, although Mycelic Slipspawn took the most damage, which wasn't much of a surprise.
