We are screaming beach on this hot summer here at the Island. Lets go!
But the wind and the waves
I can close my eyes,
And let it touches me
For a while, it gives healing to the soul that is longing
For when I think of that sky and sea
I would remember you and me
It meets by the eyes only
But in reality, its totally far away
I am pretty sure you are planning or even wanting to have a swimming on this very hot summer. Don't just plan, color it now. You would never regret it. Though I suggest you only take a dip when its early morning or sunset time so you wouldn't have sunburn. Its advisable not to expose to the sun too much. While, its the sun still up you can have a spot near the ocean by the beach with foods and friends.
We had a staycation at the Mactan Newtown Condo on Saturday with my friends. They booked for a room good for four persons one day and one night. I was excited about the swimming pool at that condo. We kept on telling we would want a dip, when our Ate heard it, automatically she booked it. We were actually surprised how easy was that. Maybe because she is already familiar here and had the know how where to go to. As for me and Jeanelle, it was still a wondering where would be a nice place to go for a swimming.
We were planning to get to the pool by 6 pm when there would be no sky but we had changed the plan. We were told that the Mactan Shrine has event that night as the preparation for the feast of the Kadaugan sa Mactan, its the anniversary when Lapulapu the hero, defeated Magellan the conqueror and explorer.
While on the pool, Jeanelle and I had to shy away to peoples eyes watching us took photos here and there for a remembrance and as for me, well for hiving 😆.
I took photos of her enjoying here swimsuit. It was her first time wearing one since. She worked so patiently to achieve the weight that she is now. If I were to tell you how different she was before, I could say that she really had a dedication for a change. She ripped the good results now. Wearing the swimwear that she bought while not able to wear it for long. She was happy and I was glad to help her taking photos while she pose confidently.
After a photo session by the pool, we took the dip finally. I was swimming back and forth to the quite long pool. It was only 5 feet deep. It took us more that two hours there at the pool. Enjoying every moment.
We headed back to our room àt six. Were were going to the Mactan Shrine for foods. When we are there, it was jump packed with people. It was not easy to find a table to eat. We had to sit and asked the lady if we could join in theirs. We were glad she was cool to it.
After the quick barbeque dinner, we had a stroll near the stage where they played local hit songs.
Clips for keeps:
We had to go back to the room afterwards. We had a quick run to the korean store for a kimchi and kimbap. We had a toast for a refreshing red wine 🍷 that Ate cha and kuya Ryan gave to us.
We thought that would be the end of our staycation but when we checked out, Ate and friends had another plan. Since we were not able to swim at the beach, they invited us to another beach where there is canopy so there we could swim even if the sun was up and it was in the Ocean Peak Beach at Marigondon. We all rode the jeepney and tricycle to get there.
Its nice to have someone who knows where to go. We had joined the group and had lunch there. I super loved the grilled saang and the pork inasal. I was so grateful for that. After eating we had the swim that satisfied my soul. Sea water is much better than that of the swimming pool the day before because its much refreshing and the waves motions felt like a gentle massage.
You who are still planning to go the beach for a swim, gather your friends or families and you surely will have fun. No regrets.
Happy Sunday 😊.
Until next time.
