A Video Look At The Kent DR-57, An Old Guitar Amp

Hello, hivers!

I was recently looking for some ideas for making videos to add to my youtube channel, and I decided to make a couple of videos about some old guitar amplifiers that I repaired last year. Since I still have them, it was easy enough to make a couple of short videos about them. The video that I am presenting in this post is about the Kent DR-57, a guitar amplifier head that was made in the mid 1960s. I wrote a post about fixing this guitar amplifier last summer. I've actually been working on guitar amplifiers for about 35 years now. I still learn new things as I go along, but that's part of the process. Before I retired from working, I used to work repairing electronic stuff like TVs and sound equipment. The guitar amp repair stuff has been a hobby for me.

The video that I am presenting in this post is about the Kent DR-57, a guitar amplifier head that was made in the mid 1960s.

I currently do not have any, but I am a fan of the old technology. Old things are very reliable, and they are intentionally designed/made to be like that. And this is not the only reason I like it. Their looks is also nice. Mainly the old radios, transceivers.
