Content release strategies on HIVE

...and how I know nothing about it

Right now, I'm currently writing a series of articles on HIVE. I'm planning on releasing them in a structured format, each article written, graphics done, ready to go, with a main sort of "table of contents" article. My plan is to either release at the end of Jan and do a monthly set of articles, or at the end of Jan/Feb for a bi-monthly publication. I sort of envision this content series as a sort of 'zine, as they used to be called.

I've been thinking about how to release these articles on HIVE. First, should the "table of contents" be its own article? It's quite an extensive article to format, but the contents of the blog will primarily be point to other articles, and not the sole content. I say it shall. Gotta syphon them UPBOATS.

I still haven't quite figured it out posting yet.

and I've been on HIVE for a long-ass time.

I'm coming up on my 6th birthday how tf is that even possibuuu

Speaking of Upvotes

A lot of the advice I've gained for using HIVE was done so during an astronomical bullrun which was seeing some pretty crazy highs for crypto. Most of the advice from back then maximized the strategy for getting upvotes and dat sweet, sweet payout. (Even if I've never cashed out of the HIVE ecosystem.) Maximizing upvotes is great n all, fishing for those HIVE whales to come and slap me with a 10% upvote which dumps a nice payout on top of it is pretty badass.

From what I've gathered, it seems that advice during bull markets is quite different than advice during bear markets. Perhaps it wasn't different advice, just advice viewed through a different lens. I wonder what is truly the best way to look at writing these blogs, as an artistic creative pursuit that might leave an impact, or as a means to earn some money for the value of time and effort I put in writing? Is maximizing upvotes placing an emphasis on the latter value more than the former? Is that really what I'm aiming for?

Upvotes aren't really my goal, they are an end to a means.

I'm not saying *"DONT UPBOAT ME GUYZ" so please, hit that lil heart button at the bottom. It's just...upvotes might not be the biggest metric for my success, but it is a metric none-the-less, like something to look at to gauge a certain form of engagement. What I'm going for is more interactive engagement, a form of community and brand building. A comment to me is worth more than an upvote, even if the upvote pays. (maybe, obviously, I'm never gonna be mad at a whale upvoting me with them sweet whalevotes.)

Maybe I'm just complaining too much and I should just be happy for the upvote trains I get. I mean I should probably do that. I have written a few times in the past about seeking more actual engagement. Heck, I'd even attempt to keep a list of authors on HIVE whom I've created a pact to read and comment on. Communities foster this idea, so I will be exploring those much more.

HIVE 2021 is much different than HIVE 2023

The main point of this post is writing to discern and possibly help outline the differences between marketing a brand on HIVE (and in the crypto space) during a bull vs during a bear. The feeling of the ecosystem is vastly different when everyone is drinking in highs, vs suffering lows. The phrase "Keep Building" comes to mind, and to me, this includes writing articles and blogs on here. -I know I know- My history of posts has been sporadic, and will be in the future as well I assure you. With an emphasis on keeping myself accountable to this one collection of articles, I can accomplish it better than I have in the past.

should the "table of contents" be its own article?

I think that the best way to handle serial content is to create a editable page on a web site outside of HIVE.

Each of the articles would link to the ToC. As you release the articles you can add links to each of the chapters.

If you know to create internet redirects you can create "next" buttons. Since you can change the destination of redirects, you can create a structure where the next button would initially go to the ToC. When the next page is online, you could change the buttons to go to HIVE article.

Creating an external page with links to your HIVE articles has an SEO benefit as you are creating links into HIVE as you publish your articles.
