I think that most of our judgment about things and people because we only look at the results and not look at what was before, whether it was in judging success or in judging failure, and this is a big mistake because it gives us an illogical picture of reality.
To bring this closer to your understanding, I tell you, for example, that when someone you know works in a prestigious job, we say what a lucky person he is. He became a manager or became a prestigious position and got a wonderful opportunity. We are looking here at the final picture of the event, as he got a prestigious job and gets a high wage, but we may not look at the effort he made to reach this degree.
When we see a store owner, whether it is a supermarket or a restaurant owner, for example, and we see many customers with him, many envy him for the situation he is in, but no one looks at the rest of the details that made this business grow day by day. We do not look at the owner of the restaurant who prepares good food with precision and perfection, or who works day and night in order to buy the best merchandise and provide the best service.
The same applies to failure. When you find a friend of yours who offers more than one job and is not accepted, or you see a person who opened a project and failed, you are afraid to be like him and do not see that he did not try well to improve his project or did not get enough experience to accept that job.
By Luck ...!
When you look at the final product only without judging what came before it, you get frustrated because you may see that all this, whether success or failure, is only related to luck and that you are in your current bad situation with bad luck.
But it is not like that, striving to be better makes you get a very good chance. It may not be now or tomorrow, but one day the right opportunity will come to you because of your previous diligence and not because of luck.
In order not to see a different picture, in fact, there is some corruption that makes someone get what he does not deserve, and there is also some luck that helps someone, but this is not the rule and we are talking in general and not the exceptions.
Strive towards being better and learning more and do not stop and do not get frustrated because the opportunity is coming to you only. All you have to do is to work hard and try not only once or twice, but keep trying until you get what you want. This is perseverance.
As Les Brown said in his famous motivational lecture on how he began his life story, you must be hungry, because if you are hungry, you will seek food, and if you are hungry for success, you will seek it.
