Hello friends of Hive and sketchbook today I bring you a drawing of Jeff the killer, he is a character born from a short horror story collected and shared through the internet, a term called creepypasta.
Hola amigos de Hive y de sketchbook hoy le traigo un dibujo de Jeff el asesino, es un personaje nacido de una historia corta de terror recopilada y compartida a través de internet, un término llamado creepypasta.

Early creepypastas were generally written anonymously and posted routinely, making it difficult to study the history of the genre and determine whether the post is real or fictional.

Jeff was first posted in mid-2005 on the Japanese forum Shitaraba (now closed), the original image was called ("White Dust 2"). And that same year his photograph, accompanied by the text "GO TO SLEEP", began to circulate in English-speaking forums such as 4chan and in pages like Newgrounds, being in the latter where the character was baptized with the name "Jeff".
Jeff fue publicado por primera vez a mediados de 2005 en el foro japonés Shitaraba (ahora cerrado), la imagen original se llamaba ("White Dust 2"). Y ese mismo año comenzó a circular su fotografía, acompañada del texto "GO TO SLEEP", en foros de habla inglesa como 4chan y en páginas como Newgrounds, siendo en esta última donde se bautizó al personaje con el nombre de "Jeff".
On October 3, 2008, YouTube user Sesseur uploaded a video titled "Jeff the Killer" to the platform, in which he told the story of Jeff's character as a serial killer disfigured by an acid accident who whispered "Go to sleep" to his victims before murdering them. Sesseur's story went viral on the interwebs and quickly became a creepypasta.
El 3 de octubre de 2008, el usuario de YouTube Sesseur subió a la plataforma un vídeo titulado "Jeff the Killer", en el que daba cuenta de la historia del personaje de Jeff como un asesino en serie desfigurado por un accidente con ácido que susurraba a sus víctimas "Go to sleep" antes de asesinarlas. La historia de Sesseur se hizo viral en las redes y rápidamente se convirtió en un creepypasta.
Jeff the killer was thus born, reaching high levels of popularity and even generating followers to the character who would end up consolidating himself as an icon of terror on the Internet.

Jeffrey Alan Woods is a 15-year-old boy who lives with his parents and his brother, Liu Woods, in an apartment in Los Angeles, California. However, Liu discovers that his brother is involved in murders, but still decides to cover it up out of affection for him. As the plot progresses, Jeff suffers an accident with corrosive acid, which causes him to be taken to the hospital. When Jeff returns home he goes crazy and escapes, killing his parents and his neighbors, leaving only Liu alive. Every time he killed someone, he would say the phrase "Go To Sleep", which became his favorite phrase.

Sin embargo, Liu descubre que su hermano está involucrado en asesinatos, pero aun así decide encubrirlo por el cariño que le tiene. Jeff is a serial killer who is dedicated to killing and is a master of knives. He is also known to have super agility that makes it easy for him to finish off his victims, and is also said to have mystical powers such as the ability to teleport at close range, instill fear with his eyes and thus paralyze his victims and even be able to hypnotize them instantly.
Jeff es un asesino en serie que se dedica a matar y es un maestro de los cuchillos. También es conocido por tener una súper agilidad que le facilita acabar con sus víctimas, y se dice que también tiene poderes místicos como la capacidad de teletransportarse a corta distancia, infundir miedo con sus ojos y así paralizar a sus víctimas e incluso ser capaz de hipnotizarlas al instante.
