A New Cat Found Me In My Garden

We never asked to be chosen, but for some reason random cats came to choose us to own them.

It's been three years since my cat died. Since then I have never had another cat. I only feed stray cats that stop by my house.

I still love cats, but I'm too scared to adopt one. I don't want to lose another pet.

This time, it's a different story. Something unexpected happened. At night, I heard the sound of a small cat behind my house. At first, I just ignored it because there are many stray cats that are often around my house.

But when I opened the door in the morning, there was a small cat that looked scared, curled up in front of my door. For some reason, suddenly, I felt sorry. I couldn't bear it.

Indeed, there are so many big cats around my house. So, I was afraid that this little cat would be attacked by a big cat. Looking into its eyes, oh for some reason I felt connected to this cat. It seemed, it already owned me.

I observed for a moment, I think this cat is a male. Even though we just met, I feel like we are already comfortable with each other.

For a few days in my house, he already looks very active. But there is something funny, when he doesn't see me for a moment, he immediately makes a sound looking for me.

He is also very smart! He can poop in the cage, not pee carelessly. That's great!

He is like my new friend. I also invite him out every time I do activities in the garden. He always bothers me because of his curiosity. But he is too cute!

Look at his eyes. Blueish green. really beautiful. Then, because he came on Friday (Jumat in Indonesian) then I called him with Juma.

I hope Juma can always be healthy and be my good friend who brings joy.

I still can't believe that now there is a cat who chooses me to love him. ❤️ I will try to be a good guardian for him.

Every day, we play together, and I enjoy stroking his soft fur while looking into his eyes. It's such a calming activity!

Now, Juma fills the house 🤣 In fact, he also controls my slippers, my carpet, etc. But I'm happy, at least, I can make him feel safe and comfortable now.

I can understand your hesitation in not wanting another pet right away after losing yours. However, you now have a helper for your garden and to keep you company while outdoors. Animals can feel the warmth and loving vibes from people and surroundings, which I'm sure you emit.

I understand your way of thinking, when we lose a loved one or a pet, which is almost the same since they are like family, we feel overwhelmed to make a decision, but this kitten is beautiful, if it comes to your door it must be for a reason, nothing in this world is random.

How beautiful your cat, truly when we get attached to them and then lose them it is a very sad thing. Not long ago I had two small cats and both died, which makes us think and not want new pets. However, everything has its time and this little guy came into your life and how nice that he does his business well organized. Greetings and cat love has arrived again.

so many cat come and go into my house and I just give them food, but Juma is different. so, I decided to take care him :)

My husband also did not like cat because had bad experiences in the past

I love this! Yes, the cat chose you. What a beautiful cat.

Many years ago I saw a cat near my front shrubs. He looked hungry. I had nothing to give him, so I opened a can of tuna. That was it. The cat stayed. We named him Tony (for Tony the Tiger). It seems Tony had a lot of friends. Slowly they all started coming around. We bought cat food. We contacted a rescue organization and we had each cat that came spayed and neutered. Eventually we bought houses for them 😄, and we put heating pads in the houses for the cold winters. Tony is long gone. When he got very old we brought him in our house. He passed away there, as a domestic cat. Most of the cats from his crew eventually passed away. Some new ones came. We moved. We no longer live in that house. But still, two cats come to feed, and still we go over there (my kids do) and, with the permission of my neighbor, we leave food for them every day. It is a blessing and privilege to do that.

You will have many happy days with this cat. I hope to see more pictures.

Oh, Juma is such a doll ❤️ They say cats choose good people who need their company for a reason. I was lucky to be chosen by my eldest cat's mother about nine years ago; unfortunately, she passed, but her daughter is still with me and I love her so much.

Juma is lucky to have you to protect him. Long live Juma 😁

P.S.Last June 12 somebody threw--literally--a 6-7 week old kitten in pur front yard; not that he chose me, but he's adapted well so far, and he's brightened the mood of the house with all his mischief and his tireless spirit. He also left me without slippers, hehe. He came on a Thursday, so I might name him Thor, haha. We're still finding the right name for him; so far, he's just "bebé" (baby in English).
