There are many reasons why we should grow herbs at home. One of them is about freshness. If you buy herbs at the market they will wilt very quickly. That's why it would be profitable to have herbs that are ready to be harvested at any time and used to maintain the fresh quality of the herbs.
Also, herbs are very useful for processing into food and drinks. Whenever we want, our garden has provided it all. The most important thing is that herbs are very easy to grow with minimal care, because they are less likely to be attacked by pests.
I have several herbs in my garden that I most often use for kitchen purposes. These herbs are lemongrass, basil, bay leaves, and kaffir lime leaves. Those herbs are very popular as aromatic ingredients in food or drinks. I also have mint leaves.
This time, I want to process herbs to make a healthy breakfast menu. Also, of course, delicious and liked by my husband.
The following are pictures of my favorite herbs that I often pick for cooking in the kitchen. Starting from basil, bay leaves, also kaffir lime leaves. Also, lemongrass plants are in a separate place.
I will make aromatic rice, also served with stir-fried broccoli and tempeh with spicy flavor. I also harvest super hot chilies from my garden.
My chili plants seem to love me because they give me endless amounts of chilies. :) glad I have a supply of fresh chilies in my organic garden.
Apart from that, I also harvested a few long beans that were already elongated and needed to be harvested, or they would get old and not be good to cook.
Fresh ingredients from my organic garden make me enthusiastic about cooking healthy food, especially for my husband. Besides, I can save expenses. I no longer buy chilies and some of the vegetables at the market. Just from my garden. Doesn't that sound like a great accomplishment? And, I am very grateful for that and also appreciate your support for my hard work in the garden. :)
