I'm surprised that my blog hasn't been updated for a week. I'm very, very sorry to you guys. Did you miss posts about my cooking? Unfortunately, this time I'm not going to share about the results of the cooking, or even tell about some of the food reviews that I've tried while on the trip.
My house was damaged last week. One of the impacts is because my house is an old house left by my late parents. Also, that reason was exacerbated by me leaving the house a few weeks back. As a result of the damage, we finally renovated the house.
Maybe this is a way from god how I finally have to renovate my house. So far I have held back renovating my house because I thought there were other, more important costs to prioritize. However, because of this unexpected incident, I finally had to give up my saving money for the renovation. This is not something I regret. No. Behind all of this, I believe this is God's beautiful plan, even though I have to think hard to arrange everything so that I don't lack a budget to buy building materials.
The photo below is the pieces of bricks from the wall of my house that had to be torn down.
Affected by the renovations, to expand the previous area into a larger room for my husband and I. At the same time, to repair leaky and flooded areas from damaged roofs.
Cleaning the Back of the House
The back of my house consists of vacant land that my family recently used to grow crops. Also, there is a sewer area for the exhaust system from the toilet.
The area behind my house often floods when it rains very heavily. It can clog my gutter area, filled with dirt and silt carried away by the flood currents. Plus, we leave the house long enough to travel. So it was only recently that I had some real free time to check out the back of the house.
My husband has started by pulling weeds by hand only. The grass in this area is relatively easy to clean even without tools. At first I wanted to do this grass cleaning. But my husband does not allow me. He said the grasses were itchy and they could hurt my skin.
I also looked for another job that I could do that afternoon while accompanying my husband around the back of the house. Also, as well as activities to get sweat out of my body, which has not done a workout for almost two weeks.
My job is to get the dirt out of the ditch using a shovel. Also, I cleaned the weeds growing on the damp walls.
Soil that comes from the ditch, I put it in another area that looks lower. There is an old mangosteen tree that is budding again. Oh that's good!
After cleaning the gutters, they are free of soil. This will make the flow of water from the toilet to the large ditch area outside my house's fence run smoothly. I'm happy with this job.
My husband is amazed. He said he didn't believe in my clean work. He didn't expect me to be able to finish my job with such a big shovel.
Well, it's a shovel that is quite large and quite heavy. But I can handle it. I hope this is all a good start for my days with renewed vigor.
By the time I finished the job, the sun was already setting. My hands are dirty and smelly, but I love this work, and my sweat is profuse. What a fun activity to do on the weekend!
Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.
