Water area and sunset. A perfect combination to kill fatigue in life. One area I chose to enjoy the things I like is Batam City.
I chose Batam Island for vacation compared to Bali at that time. Airplane fares are very expensive, one trip is over $166. So, I chose to take a trip to Batam Island for around $55.
Batam Island is located in the Riau Islands province and borders Singapore and Malaysia. Suitable for those of you who want to enjoy the beauty of an exotic island but not as busy as Bali.
The places that I think are the best places to catch the sunset are the accommodation "Batam View Beach Resort Hotel" and "Kelong Seafood Restaurant". Both places are managed by the same party. But if we have stayed at the "Batam View Resorts Hotel", then we are not required to order food when visiting the "Kelong Seafood Restaurant".
If you don't want to stay at the "Batam View Beach Resort Hotel", then you can directly visit the "Kelong Seafood Restaurant", only you are required to order food or drinks to appreciate the owner. :)
In this blog, I will discuss these two places. Hope you have a fun virtual trip with my sunset trip. Enjoy. :)
“Batam View Beach Resort Hotel”
Specially for my holiday which is always postponed, I booked a resort-style hotel for my last day on Batam Island. Saving the best for last. :)
The journey from the city center to the “Batam View Beach Resort Hotel” is quite far. My husband and I were driving my husband's friend's car. If you ride a motorbike, I suggest you go early to avoid the hot air and temperature in the city.
When you almost arrive at the hotel, the air will feel cooler because both sides of the road are filled with shady trees. This street seems to say to us "happy holidays and enjoy your peaceful day with nature views". :)
The reason I chose this hotel compared to its competitors in nearby locations was also because the costs were cheaper. Cheaper doesn't mean it's not beautiful or doesn't have cool facilities. This hotel is cheaper than its competitors because it is an old hotel.
Initially, I was quite doubtful when I heard the words "old hotel" which maybe you also doubted it like me. However, my doubts were not proven. Instead, it's replaced by a good first impression.
From several sources from the working waiters, this hotel has been renovated. Honestly, this hotel doesn't look like the old hotel. The hotel design from the outside looks classy with today's minimalist style. Meanwhile, the design of the room itself is made with a warm atmosphere in today's wooden style.
A Room With Ocean View
Hotels that offer A Room With Ocean View are always tempting. With the price still reasonable, I booked this room. From the room balcony, I could see an amazing ocean view. Ooooooh, so blue!
Of course, from this room which has a balcony facility, I can do many things to reset my body and mind. In fact, I spend more nights on the balcony than in bed. Lol.
I can also see a pool view in the garden area behind the hotel from my room. I feel my choice of room is the right one. Oh, thanks, god!
I could say even at the start of my arrival that staying at this place was absolutely worth it. Before finally my eyes were truly pampered by a beautiful sunset that I will never forget.
Enjoy Sunset From The Lobby
Whoa, I seem to have lost track of time. When sunset came, I sat in the lobby and watched from the glass wall. Look at thaaaaat!
I'm really excited. To be honest, this was the first time I saw a perfect sunset, one that was clear and not covered by clouds.
In the end, I just remembered that I would go to “Kelong Seafood Restaurant” to enjoy the sunset. Hopefully I'm not too late getting there, towards the lower ground towards the beach. But if you want to be at the hotel without going to “Kelong Seafood Restaurant”, that's no problem. We went to the restaurant because we also wanted to have dinner there.
After taking several photos as memories, I immediately asked the waiter to provide a buggy car to go to "Kelong Seafood Restaurant". When that day is a weekday. So, I can get the facilities of a buggy car without queuing.
This is also the first time I ride a buggy car with my husband. We were escorted by a male officer who turned out to be from the same area as us.
Well, you can see, sunset time has arrived. The sky is really beautiful along the way to “Kelong Seafood Restaurant”. It feels like my heart is truly filled with happiness.
“Kelong Seafood Restaurant”
As I mentioned at the beginning, if you stay at the "Batam View Beach Resort Hotel", then you are not obliged to buy food or drinks. Along the way using a buggy car, I could see the beautiful sunset that had arrived.
For a moment I felt stunned. When I arrived at the restaurant, I decided not to go in for a moment. I enjoyed the sunset from the garden in front of the restaurant.
The Sunset
A combination of beach and sunset time, also luck. If I'm unlucky, it will probably rain or the sky will be dark and the sun will be completely hidden behind the clouds.
In the last days on Batam Island, it seemed like the universe was quite kind to me. Then, I continued walking to the restaurant area. We can see that the restaurant area is decorated so romantically. Suitable for a couple :)
I continued walking towards a path similar to a pier which is specially provided by hotels and restaurants so that visitors can enjoy a more intimately perfect sunset.
Classic-style hanging lamps on poles along the restaurant pier add an unforgettable beauty.
So, those are the two best locations to catch the beautiful sunset time. Next time, I will discuss the food from this restaurant. I hope you enjoy the various views of the beautiful sunset that I managed to capture using my iPhone camera.
Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.
