Never Give Up

This week's theme by @ksam came at a very timely moment indeed!

The other day @jasperdick did a brilliant version of this very popular song of the Disco era as part of the "Hope" theme and I couldn't resist to give this a go myself.
Jasper kindly provided me with a couple of chord options too. Thank you! 😃

I will survive has always been one I could not resist singing along to, and I think many others feel the same, which why it's great that I can add this to my collection!
However, when I first got to know it, it came out in 1978, I would have missed a lot of English words or got them wrong in some way as with so many songs I got to know before I knew any English at all!

So now I have finally looked at the lyrics properly and find that it sends out a powerful message that giving up is not an option and the person who caused the singer's heartache has passed his sell-by-date.. Out you get!

I love the "stupid lock" line.. one of those that I didn't know existed until now.
