Typically, the wisdom that philosophers adore consists of solutions to problems that must be solved mentally rather than through the use of instruments like telescopes, surveys, or measurement. A philosopher will investigate whether people's views are true or supported by what is true, as opposed to a sociologist who studies what people believe. Physical sciences including physics, astronomy, geology, biology, and chemistry were developed from philosophical studies of the natural world. Although other cultures, including China, have developed their own unique sciences and technologies, Western technology has dominated the world in the modern era as a result of Western science.
The social sciences of psychology, history, political science, sociology, and anthropology, as well as linguistics and cognitive science, were all born out of philosophical study of the human world. Of course, philosophy continues to focus on many metaphysical conceptions about the world and continues to solely explore human concerns inasmuch as it falls under the purview of the humanities. These existential issues are of interest to everyone, regardless of culture, and they arise in regular, everyday life.
The natural world and the human world have traditionally been the two primary topics of Western philosophy. Nature, physical reality, and the universe are all considered to be natural worlds. The human world is made up of people, together with their beliefs, knowledge, morals, societies, governments, cultures, and basic human nature.
Of fact, philosophy is a part of all societies and daily life, but Western Philosophy is a particular mode of thought that focuses on generalizations and hypotheses about what philosophers consider to be significant in the natural and social realms. Unlike historians and biographers, Western philosophers are not interested in the origins of peoples, historical events, or the lives of specific individuals.
Maybe philosophy can make humankind more moral in this digital age in order to use technology more to the benefit of humankind and not the other way around...
