October was a month of joy and beautiful moments, and coffee was our companion in many of these moments. From the afternoon snacks, accompanied by cookies, cakes, cakes, ponquecitos, and in all its possible mixtures, with milk or chocolate, we spent beautiful family evenings, talking and catching up with so many things lived in these last 8 years of absence of my son at home, to the outings to visit several cafes in the area that I had not had the opportunity to visit.
Every time we went out, we would stop somewhere to have a delicious coffee or café con leche, enjoy the atmosphere, take pictures as souvenirs, and continue our walk. It is incredible the amount of cafes that have been installed in this area, almost around the corner there is always one. One in particular caught my attention because it bears the name of my favorite coffee “Guayoyoyo”.
Not to mention the bakeries and super markets, they all have a cafe and offer a variety of desserts and snacks to make the evening more enjoyable. I took advantage of every afternoon coffee to break the rules in these vacation days, and I accompanied it with a homemade dessert, or with Adriana's cookies, which always bring me a nice message.
Another accompaniment to coffee at any time of the day, was with a delicious Andean milk bread, which my son brought me from his time in San Cristobal. That has always been one of my favorite breads since I lived there, and eating it with coffee with milk is just great.
But not all evenings are with coffee, sometimes a herbal tea is also welcome, to calm some cold discomfort, or relax. All options are valid if we have a good company.
Thanks for visiting my blog, it will be until the next story to tell you over a cup of coffee. Happy day!
