You'd think after all these years of delegating stake to the curation gangs that the hive would have more folks doing daily posts.
Sure, sure, we got greedy grubbers that post just for the rewards guaranteed them by the gangs, day after day after day, but no real world influencers are here, anymore.
Once the curation gangs move on, so too do the authors that were once willing to post and interact with their comments.
The rewards that were voted to them go to the exchanges to be dumped.
All hail centralized curation!
IF curation gangs were going to solve the retention problem, shouldn't they have done it by now?
If you don't have time to curate properly you can just as easy give your curation rewards to others by simply not voting your stake.
This benefits all active users, equally.
Instead you delegate for a profit, ie, sell your vote, thereby guaranteeing you a return at the expense of people playing by the proof of brain parameters.
Shame on you.
YOU are the reason proof of brain is not paying 'good' authors, only those 'authorized' by the gangs.
Look at trending once in a while, eh?
When the gangs vote, everybody else's vote goes down in value.
That is your vote, and the votes of people who take their time to find 'good' content from authors not dumping everything they get as quick as they get it.
Anybody doing their own curation is being disadvantaged by the gangs sucking up more from the pool than anybody else.
Gangs disadvantage all that don't join them.
Gangs are for people too weak to stand on their own convictions.
If your content isn't getting you the rewards you feel you deserve, step up your content.
Make more friends.
Stop supporting the curation gangs, please.
Instead of developing 'good' curation habits in daily users, the gangs allow lazy curation to enrich those running the gangs and the people selling their votes to them for a guaranteed return.
IF the gang owners aren't directly enriching themselves, then they only support speech that they approve of, thereby handicapping unpopular speech and enriching the brown nosers.
When was the last time you saw a curation gang vote somebody unpopular?
Have you ever seen them vote anything but milquetoast content?
Non-corporate speech needs not apply.
Popular speech doesn't need protecting.™
IF you have a long term, generational view of hive, then you won't vote accounts with 60reps and less than 1000hp or 70reps with less than 5000hp.
If you do vote rewards to these people you are helping drive down the value of your own holdings and consolidate power to those with spare cash to risk by buying in.
YOU are devaluing hive and centralizing its power.
Obviously, those dumping rewards have no loyalty to the rest of us, please stop supporting them.
They will continue to drain every penny they get from us until you do.
Rather than join a gang, follow the trail of an active user known to you to vote 'good' content, this way YOU get your curation rewards and the gangs lose power over who is allowed rewards from the pool.
The more we decentralize power in the hive, the better our long term chances of finally prying power from the ninjaminers and their sycophants.
Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
