The original design of hive had reward curves not accounting for the ninjamine.
The ninjamine blew out all balance to the game as designed.
We can recover from that, but we need the ninjaminers, and those that benefited from their largess, to stop blowing out the numbers.
Never was the n2 meant to be used by an account with 20k times the rshares of everybody else.
1000x is bad enough, but when folks start out with 0mv and are competing for rewards with an account with 20k mv, it leaves a bad taste in their mouths.
Even if we back off the standard to just the top 25 hp holding accounts we get 1800x of what minnows start with.
Nobody buys into those odds.
It has been demonstrated by more than 7 years of me harping on this same topic.
With the top 20 accounts giving 50% of the daily newb bait to themselves and their sycophants the outcome is inevitable.
8 years of playing the game this way should have demonstrated that to all of us.
But, never expect a man to see something when his supper depends on not seeing it.
There are only 43 accounts with more than 1000mv powered up.
Will we continue to allow these 43 to reap the pool with all their might, or will we begin a new whale experiment?
For those of you still not understanding the math of the rewards pool, when a whale votes all other votes have value pulled from them and given to the whale.
Cheering for more whale votes is calling for your own vote to go down in value.
We try to sell the hive as 'community controlled', but the community controlling us is less than 10 accounts.
That makes our marketing a lie.
A known lie.
A blatantly undeniable lie.
Who buys into a lie?
Maybe we should stop doing that?
If you really want to have an impact on the rewards pool stop voting accounts that regularly get more than 5hbd on a post.
This one act on your part will have an impact on retention.
As newbs find out that 'everything' doesn't go to 'the whales', and their sycophants, maybe more will hang out.
Nobody hangs out once they understand they will never be on trending and that playing is only making the rich richer.
I mean, this should be a no brainer.
Broader distribution equals more people getting paid to play.
Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
