Hello, all my Hiver Friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful day doing your daily activities. I would like to share with you all my night market shopping activity last night. Market food buying is much cheaper than supermarkets. I have saved almost half of my budget, which will last for a week or possibly 15 days. And the food, particularly the fruits and vegetables, is fresh.
I usually go to the market in the evenings rather than during the day because I am busy working online and taking care of my children during the day. The vegetables and fruits are prepared much cheaper in the night market than during the day because they only display on the street and do not have to pay rent. I really enjoy the night market and bought a lot of food for 20 HBD for the entire week.
My favorite vegetable, as well as my children's, is broccoli, and the price per kilo is only 2 HBD, which is much cheaper than supermarket prices. There are too many people buying in the night market after they get off work. There is also a Food Market on the other side, but we did not go there. We just bought a fruit salad for only 10 pesos, and the taste is good, so we bought it again.
I also bought some fish for dinner and eggs for the kids' breakfast because they like eggs. A couple of weeks ago, I spent 4 thousand pesos on groceries, which is 68 HBD. So I'd like to make it a habit to buy foods at the night market because it will save me a lot of money. Poverty is increasing, and and the budget is becoming increasingly tight, so it's more practical to buy in the market.
The rice is also much cheaper in the market. I used to buy by the sack, but now I just buy 5 kilos because it's too heavy to carry. I saved 10 pesos per kilo instead of buying at the sari-sari store here.
Everything is getting expensive. I remember when I went to the supermarket, I only spent 1,500 pesos for groceries, but now it will not last for a week. One income could not sustain our daily needs and necessities, especially since I am spending three kids' daily school allowance, which is why I am thankful that I am back active here in Hive. I also have a live selling retail business, but it is still insufficient, but at least I can provide, but not everything .
