¡Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! - Martyr Ability & Water Splinter

¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero hablarles sobre una estrategia con la que he estado aplicando la habilidad “Martyr” utilizando el Splinter de Agua. Por lo general, la utilizo en partidas con diferentes límites de maná, y con la condición de batalla “Equal Opportunity”. La carta que me permite llevar a cabo esta estrategia es: Venari Marksrat, es una carta Neutral, es del tipo raro, y pertenece a la edición Reward/Chaos Legion.

Greetings community! In this week's challenge I want to tell you about a strategy with which I have been applying the "Martyr" ability using the Water Splinter. I usually use it in games with different mana limits, and with the battle condition "Equal Opportunity". The card that allows me to carry out this strategy is: Venari Marksrat, it is a Neutral card, it is of the rare type, and it belongs to the Reward/Chaos Legion edition.

Venari Marksrat es un monstruo que desde su nivel 1 no cuenta con elevados atributos pero posee la habilidad “Martyr”, la cual es muy buena cuando la usamos en las estrategias adecuadas, ya que permite aumentar el potencial de las cartas adyacentes. En contraste con su nivel 4, la diferencia es un 1 punto de velocidad, y 2 puntos de vida. Particularmente, uso esta carta en su nivel 2, ya que poseo una copia en su versión dorada, y como juego en la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, su desempeño ha sido bastante bueno. Me gusta usarla en partidas con la condición de batalla “Equal Opportunity”, ya que puede ser un objetivo más fácil de los ataques enemigos, lo que va perfecto con el propósito de mi estrategia, y me permite aumentar el potencial de las cartas que estén adyacentes a ella. También, suelo usar un monstruo con la habilidad “Resurrect” en la composición por lo que en ocasiones puedo activar la habilidad “Martyr” hasta 2 veces con esta misma carta.

Venari Marksrat is a monster that from its level 1 does not have high attributes but has the ability "Martyr", which is very good when used in the right strategies, as it allows to increase the potential of adjacent cards. In contrast to its level 4, the difference is 1 point of speed, and 2 points of life. Particularly, I use this card in its level 2, since I own a copy in its golden version, and as I play in the Silver league in the Modern format, its performance has been quite good. I like to use it in games with the "Equal Opportunity" battle condition, as it can be an easier target for enemy attacks, which goes perfectly with the purpose of my strategy, and allows me to increase the potential of cards that are adjacent to it. Also, I usually use a monster with the "Resurrect" ability in the composition so I can sometimes activate the "Martyr" ability up to 2 times with this same card.

Cabe destacar que el Splinter de Agua cuenta con el monstruo Noa The Just que posee la habilidad “Martyr” pero en su nivel 6. Por lo que para aquellos que jugamos en la liga de Plata, como es mi caso que juego en el formato Moderno, sólo podemos usar estrategias aplicando la habilidad “Martyr” con el Splinter de Agua utilizando a “Venari Marksrat”. Sin embargo, aunque sólo contemos con 1 monstruo con la habilidad “Martyr”, podemos valernos de otras habilidades para aplicar su efecto más de 1 vez, tal y como lo mencioné anteriormente.

It should be noted that the Water Splinter has the monster Noa The Just that has the ability "Martyr" but at level 6. So for those who play in the Silver league, as is my case that I play in the Modern format, we can only use strategies applying the ability "Martyr" with the Water Splinter using "Venari Marksrat". However, even if we only have 1 monster with the "Martyr" skill, we can use other skills to apply its effect more than 1 time, as I mentioned before.

¡Pasemos a la batalla! Como les mencioné anteriormente, suelo usar esta estrategia en partidas con diversos límites de maná, y en presencia de la condición de batalla “Equal Opportunity”. Hoy, les traigo una batalla así en la que combiné los Splinters Dragón y Agua. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar las condiciones de la partida.

Let's move on to the battle! As I mentioned before, I usually use this strategy in games with various mana limits, and in the presence of the "Equal Opportunity" battle condition. Today, I bring you such a battle in which I combined Dragon and Water Splinters. In the following image you can see the conditions of the game.

Usé a Kretch Tallevor como invocador, ya que por la condición de batalla “Silenced Summoners” y su bajo coste de maná, era la mejor opción. En la Primera posición usé a Djinn Chwala, ya que sus características la hacen un buen tanque. En la Segunda posición usé a Diemonshark con la finalidad de atacar velozmente a los monstruos enemigos con poca vida, dada la condición de la batalla. Además, en el caso de que el tanque muera, proteger al resto de la composición. En la Tercera posición usé a Venari Marksrat con la finalidad de que fuera el primer objetivo de los ataques enemigos, y de esta forma activar su habilidad “Martyr” para incrementar los atributos de sus monstruos adyacentes, y tomar ventaja en la batalla. En la Cuarta posición usé a Djinn Oshannus para contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. En la Quinta posición usé a Flying Squid con el propósito de contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. Finalmente, usé a River Hellondale con el objetivo de aumentar el daño físico de la composición en un punto, dar soporte a la composición mediante su habilidad “Resurrect”, y contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. Cabe destacar que el propósito de la estrategia es aumentar los atributos de Diemonshark y Djinn Oshannus mediante la habilidad “Martyr” de Venari Marksrat. Como Venari Marksrat es el monstruo con menor vida en la composición, será el primero en morir y revivir mediante la habilidad “Resurrect” de River Hellondale, potenciando de esta manera a sus monstruos adyacentes en dos oportunidades, lo cual representa una gran ventaja para nosotros.

I used Kretch Tallevor as a summoner, because of the battle condition "Silenced Summoners" and its low mana cost, it was the best option. In the first position I used Djinn Chwala, as her characteristics make her a good tank. In the second position I used Diemonshark in order to quickly attack enemy monsters with low health, given the condition of the battle. Also, in case the tank dies, to protect the rest of the composition. In the third position I used Venari Marksrat in order to make it the first target of enemy attacks, and thus activate its "Martyr" ability to increase the attributes of its adjacent monsters, and take advantage in the battle. In the fourth position I used Djinn Oshannus to contribute to the damage from the second line. In the fifth position I used Flying Squid for the purpose of contributing to the damage from the second line. Finally, I used River Hellondale with the purpose of increasing the physical damage of the composition by one point, giving support to the composition through its "Resurrect" ability, and contributing to the damage from the second line. It should be noted that the purpose of the strategy is to increase the attributes of Diemonshark and Djinn Oshannus through Venari Marksrat's "Martyr" ability. As Venari Marksrat is the monster with the lowest life in the composition, it will be the first to die and revive through River Hellondale's "Resurrect" ability, thus boosting its adjacent monsters twice, which represents a great advantage for us.

En el turno 6 de la ronda 1, mi Diemonshark abatió a Merdaali Guardian, y luego debilitó a Deeplurker gracias a su habilidad “Trample”. Por otra parte, Venari Marksrat estaba a punto de morir, lo que significaba que faltaba poco para que mi estrategia entrara en acción.

On turn 6 of round 1, my Diemonshark took down Merdaali Guardian, and then weakened Deeplurker thanks to his "Trample" ability. On the other hand, Venari Marksrat was about to die, which meant that it would be a short time before my strategy went into action.

En el turno 20 de la ronda 1, mi Flying Squid abatió a Deeplurker. A esta altura de la batalla, Venari Marksrat activó 2 veces su habilidad “Martyr” gracias a la habilidad “Resurrect” de River Hellondale. Por lo que los atributos de Djinn Oshannus y Diemonshark fueron incrementados 2 veces, entrando en acción la estrategia propuesta.

On turn 20 of round 1, my Flying Squid took down Deeplurker. At this point in the battle, Venari Marksrat activated his "Martyr" ability 2 times thanks to River Hellondale's "Resurrect" ability. So the attributes of Djinn Oshannus and Diemonshark were increased 2 times, bringing into action the proposed strategy.

Para el turno 2 de la ronda 3, Diemonshark abatió al Flying Squid enemigo, y debilitó al Djinn Oshannus enemigos gracias a su habilidad “Trample”. A esta altura de la partida, el enemigo ya sólo contaba con 2 monstruos. En el turno 2 de la ronda 4, mi Flying Squid había caído pero mi Djinn Oshannus abatió al Djinn Oshannus enemigo, la diferencia de poder entre ellos era más que evidente gracias a los efectos de la habilidad “Martyr”. Finalmente, en el turno 1 de la ronda 5, Djinn Oshannus abatió Nerissa Tridawn, cerrando la batalla con una victoria. ¿Qué hizo la diferencia en las estrategias? Pues, el enemigo no usó cartas que aumentaran el daño de su composición o les proporcionara algún soporte mediante habilidades como “Protect”, “Repair” o “Resurrect”. Como pudieron observar, en la estrategia planteada, sí utilicé tales aspectos, aumentando el daño de mi composición mediante la habilidad “Inspire” y “Martyr”. Además de brindar el soporte mediante la habilidad “Resurrect” para aprovechar aún más la habilidad “Martyr”. Estos fueron los aspectos determinantes en la batalla. Todo esto pueden observarlo en las siguientes imágenes.

By turn 2 of round 3, Diemonshark took down the enemy Flying Squid, and weakened the enemy Djinn Oshannus thanks to his "Trample" ability. At this point in the game, the enemy had only 2 monsters. On turn 2 of round 4, my Flying Squid had fallen but my Djinn Oshannus took down the enemy Djinn Oshannus, the power difference between them was more than evident thanks to the effects of the "Martyr" ability. Finally, on turn 1 of round 5, Djinn Oshannus took down Nerissa Tridawn, closing the battle with a victory. What made the difference in the strategies? Well, the enemy did not use cards that increased the damage of their composition or provided them with any support through abilities such as "Protect", "Repair" or "Resurrect". As you could see, in the strategy proposed, I did use such aspects, increasing the damage of my composition through the skill "Inspire" and "Martyr". In addition to providing support through the "Resurrect" skill to take advantage of the "Martyr" skill even more. These were the determining aspects in the battle.
