Nora is my new assistant (14pics)

It's time for a walk in the woods. Last year I had such walks irregular, but for 2 weeks now I have been walking among trees and bushes every day. And I must also say that the routes are different. Now I have a companion and there is an incentive for such walks.



Meet friends, this is Nora. This dog recently turned six months old. Last December I buried my dog Count. Maybe someone remembers that in the spring of 2021, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, doctors operated on her, but against the background of hormonal changes, diabetes mellitus began. She went blind in the summer. I regularly gave her insulin injections and the Count felt quite normal. At the beginning of December last year, she began some kind of crisis, her blood sugar became high again and she began to refuse food. A week later it was all over. My wife and daughter cried a lot and my wife said that we would no longer have a dog at home.
I have said my word - it is impossible to live in a house without a dog. I've always had dogs.
At the beginning of May, I phoned people who put mongrel dogs in good hands. Now I have this girl Nora.






Nora is already used to us and to our house. Now I can walk with her in the woods without a leash. Today I took a route that I haven't taken since 2021. This pine tree was struck by lightning 5 years ago. I see that she has changed in the time that I have not walked this road. The road is a big word. Cars stopped driving in this place, only ATVs..






The road goes along the edge of the forest, which is called the Black Forest. In the open area and in our village, the birdcherry blossoms are no longer visible, and in this forest it still stands with white flowers. The sun is a rare guest in this place.



I've seen a lot of apple trees in bloom. Where did they come from in this place? Apparently, birds carry seeds in their stomachs, and then they plant them on fertile soil. I see a lot of white apple trees around me on the way to the river. By the way, a walk to the river is my favorite walk. A lot of roads lead to the place I need. The route can vary from 3 to 5 km depending on the chosen road.






I can't call this body of water a lake. It seems to me that in the summer the water disappears from this place or a small puddle remains. Or my memory is starting to fail me.

Today the purpose of my walk is to inspect the riverbank and the water level in the river. Everything suggests that it is already possible to go fishing in this place. The water has already dropped to the summer level. But the coast has changed a lot. I do not know where the fish will stand now. That's what we need to find out.
Every year the river takes part of the land from the forest. According to my observations, since 2007, the river has captured about 50 meters of land. Trees fall into the river and such places are loved by fish. This year, in the spring, the water was not very high and the shore was not washed away very much, so there are no fresh trees in the river, and those that had been lying since last year were carried downstream by the water.

But in the forest itself, the trees fell. Poachers make a road through the forest every year so that they can deliver boats to the river, to the beach. Thanks to their efforts, there is a passing road in this place, but I would be glad if it did not exist.



I met a lot of ducks today. I heard their presence in the bushes, in swampy places, on a small lake. And I met a duck couple on the river. They slowly swam away from the shore when they saw me. In this place I sometimes meet a mother duck with small ducklings in the summer. I am glad that at least the ducks are getting better to live due to the fact that a person has stopped his agricultural activities in this place.
