On November 1, it started snowing in the morning. At first, it seemed like it was just ordinary rain with a little snow, but the further it went, the more and more it snowed.
The day before, I hung up a bird feeder. The first visitors were sparrows. A flock of about 7 birds arrived. I was surprised by this. This is the first time in 10 years that sparrows arrive in a flock to the feeder. The main visitors are always tits. It was very rare for a lone sparrow to arrive. It happened 5 times during the winter and no more.

In the spring, I planned to make a new bird feeder for the new winter season. The summer passed, but I never made it, so I bought this feeder on the marketplace. She looked better in the picture. It turned out that it needs to be improved.

The roof must be made longer so that less snow gets into the feeder.
It is desirable to make the sides higher. The developers of the feeder probably never fed the birds themselves.

This photo was taken on November 2nd. It can be seen that the branches of the tree are already covered with snow. And again a flock of sparrows flew in. In the morning, there was one sparrow at first, probably it was a scout who, after examining the tree and the feeder, invited his friends to lunch.
The branches of the tree reach the wall of the house. I left them on purpose because the birds like to sit on them and look out my window.

Busik sat on the windowsill yesterday and looked at the birds. Then he asked to go outside. It turned out that he decided to hunt birds. Of course, the birds did not want this, so they flew to other trees, and the cat walked under the trees and came back home.

I also put some sunflower seeds by the window. Tits are not afraid to fly up to the window and peck at these seeds, and they also try to look in the window.
It snowed all day yesterday. There was a very strong north wind. The windows face south and southwest, but the snow managed to get on the glass and melted.

Well, the winter season is open. Today I put up another feeder, much larger.
There is a danger of snow falling from the roof of the house, which can damage the feeders. Because of this, I was even going to remove this tree a few years ago but changed my mind. Well, time will tell what to do next.
