El dia de hoy vengo a contarles lo que fué mi dia de hoy donde disfruté nuevamente de la hermosa experiencia de ser un futuro padre.
Let me tell you a little bit, 8 months ago I found out I was going to be a father. When I received the news it was a great joy for me and for the whole family, from that first day I felt the urgent need to see my son, even through a monitor. Since that first day I have gone to each and every medical consultation with my wife.
Les cuento un poco, hace 8 meses me enteré que seria padre. Al recibir la noticia fue una gran alegria para mi y para toda la familia, desde ese primer dia ya sentí la imperiosa necesidad de ver a mi hijo así fuese por medio de un monitor. Desde ese primer dia he acudido a todas y cada una de las consultas médicas con mi esposa.
Today we went to a new medical center because we needed to perform a Doppler ultrasound in order to rule out any pre-existing diseases in the baby, since in the previous ultrasound a small dot around a testicle had been visualized and it was necessary to rule out a neonatal hydrocele.
Upon arrival we were very kindly attended by the attending physician who asked my wife a series of routine questions: Why are you having this ultrasound? How many weeks are you? Etc. My wife tells him that she is 34 weeks pregnant since that was the date she was being managed according to her last menstrual cycle.
El dia de hoy acudimos a un nuevo centro médico ya que se necesitaba practicar un eco doppler esto con la finalidad de descartar cualquier tipo de enfermedades preexistentes en el bebé ya que en la ecografía anterior se habia visualizado un puntito pequeño alrededor de un testiculo y era necesario descartar una hidrocele neonatal.
Al llegar fuimos atendidos muy amablemebte por la médico tratante le realizó una serie de preguntas de rutina a mi esposa. ¿Por que te realizas esta ecografía? ¿Cuantas semanas tienes? Etc. Mi esposa le comenta que tiene 34 semanas de embarazo ya que esa era la fecha que se le estaba manejando de acuerdo a su ultimo ciclo menstrual.
Upon reviewing the ultrasound history, the doctor determined that we were 36 weeks pregnant. We were very impressed because we were confident that it was 34 weeks and in fact that was the date that her attending physician had set for her. After reviewing all the previous ultrasounds, the doctor decided to begin the study.
It was amazing and filled me with great excitement when as soon as the device was placed, the baby's face was reflected and he was awake and very active. The doctor was impressed with the baby's activity and said how beautiful he looked. Very strong and active, which I admit made me feel very proud as a father. as a father.
Fue increible y me llenó de gran emoción cuando apenas le colocaron el aparato salió reflejada la cara del bebé quien se encontraba despierto y muy activo. La doctora quedo impresionada con la actividad del bebé y dijo que hermoso se ve. Muy fuerte y activo, esto admito que me llenó de gran orgullo como padre.
The doctor made a great effort to get the baby's face in focus, since due to her great activity she was not able to take a good picture of her face, but in an instant she posed and as if thinking "I'll let my parents see me", the doctor managed to take a beautiful picture of the baby.
La doctora hizo un gran esfuerzo en lograr enfocar bien el rostro del bebé ya que debido a su gran actividad no se dejaba fotografiar bien su rostro sin embargo en un leve instante posó y como pensando "Dejaré que mis padres me vean" la doctora logró sacar una hermosa foto del bebé.
In the middle of the examination I had the joy of hearing his heartbeat, the sound of his lungs which were already very developed. The doctor performed several measurements where she concluded that we were indeed in the presence of a 36 week pregnancy, a baby weighing approximately 3.8 kg (a huge baby). He also concluded that there was no hydrocele, which was a great relief for us. Although it was not something dangerous, it was something that caused us some concern.
En medio del examén pude tener la dicha de oir los latidos de su corazón, el sonido de sus pulmones los cuales ya estaban muy desarrollados. La doctora realizo diversas mediciones en donde logró de terminar que efectivamente nos encontrabamos en presencia de un embarazo de 36 semanas, un bebé con un peso aproximado de 3.8 kg (un bebé inmenso). También concluyó que no habia presencia de hidrocele esto fué un alivio muy grande para nosotros. A pesar de no ser algo peligroso era algo que nos generaba algo de preocupación.
