Have you ever wondered how has your Hive account grown so far? Well, I do and I'm glad I checked hivestats.io to show me how have I been faring.

The 30-day Stats: A Slap to the Face

As I scroll by and read along the numbers going through the screen, I am both proud and unsatisfied with my 30-day stats.

While I have bursts of gaining HP, I mostly have days where nothing's really moving. My account has been stagnant and that's something I'd like to work on. Now that I'm seeing this, I'm baffled and challenged at the same time - I've always been wanting to create more posts whether it's sharing my new finds around the crypto world or just my gaming/streaming experiences. Perhaps I've been keeping all the ideas in my head but never really got them out because I am very critical of everything I do.

I need to get that bad habit out of the way. It doesn't have to be real soon but if I want to see changes, I have to do something myself. Why am I making this difficult for myself, you ask? I feel like my brain slowly turns into mush and I need something to get it working. Typing it into the blockchain probably makes me more accountable for my own actions. Do ya catch my drift? Haha.

Setting a Goal (and Trying to Keep Up with It)

Seeing that I'm stuck at 70.9 HP this week, I'd like to at least gain 10 HP more within 7 days of creating this post. And yes, this is me trying to make myself post regularly. I probably should aim for more but let's not kid ourselves and go into overdrive then run out of juice in the middle of the run. Instead of thinking of this as a sprint, I'd rather do a marathon because the only opponent here is myself and what I'm trying to reach for is my own growth as a content creator, if you could even consider me as one.

From here, I'll see how far could I go with it and then maybe stick to another 10 HP goal next week or turn the notch up a bit. I'll definitely try not to overthink of it and just create what I find enjoyable and meaningful at the moment.

That's pretty much it for now and thank you for stopping by! If you are having the same dilemma or you have some suggestions on how to overcome this creator's block, I'd definitely appreciate your thoughts!

I have a lot of things to write. Bit I sometimes end up writing them in my head.

Your goal of gaining 10hp is 100% possible if you stick to your plan and work towards achieving it. To that, I say good luck.

Thank you @joydukeson. I'll try my best to pull it off!

You can grow in other ways, like engaging and especially commenting. All over Hive and Leofinance.
With doing so you read a lot and learn also.
Sometimes you find out things that can help you grow further.

If the posts won’t come (writers block) try entering contest. Start writing there. It could help too. Lots of communities have them.

Baby steps.

I've never thought of contests that way... Thanks for the suggestion, @littlebee4! I should try that next time.

You are so welcome @arcgspy 😎 please do!

The feathered friends have a story prompts contest. Look at @wrestlingdesires he organises that contest. He gives you 2 photographs and you write a story about one or two. As a comment in that post.
It could help, and is so much fun. There is just a new one up.

I have the same problem. LOL. Sometimes, my mind is just full of "stuff" and seem to be going in different directions. It helps if I just step away from the computer and just take a look outside at some green plants, breathe fresh air, make coffee, anything to get me away from that rabbit hole I've gotten myself into at that moment. Everyone has their own writing rhythm, you just need to find yours. It can be once a day, once a week, or every two days. Good luck finding yours. !hivebits !PIZZA

Touching the grass is key pala HAHA. But yeah, maybe I should get me a notebook in case something pops out of the blue and I'm offline. Good luck to finding our rhythm hehez

Sometimes I have writer’s block too! And very critical of what I share, ending up with not posting at all.

But we gotta overcome it! As to how, I think you just need to start writing something even if it ends up in your drafts.

Later on, you might want to edit it and publish it, right?

Just my few cents. 😅
Wag kang maniwala sakin hahahahaa

Time to build up drafts then 😆 But that definitely makes sense. Thank you, @wittyzell <3

Go for it ghurl!
