Another common one-drop. The Splinterlands weekly battle challenge likes these low-mana commons. The power of the one-drop is obvious, because that is the most common amount of mana you are likely to have unspent. The Gargoya Scrapper gets Void at maximum level as well, making it useful to soak some extra magic damage at higher leagues.
Overall Impressions
It seems the best use for this card is as a body to buff. Give it extra life from Khala and Renova, extra armor from a Truthspeaker, put it in the front of your team and call it a tank. Actually it seems to work very well. The void supports this use. A surprisingly good card. And of course added value for its mana cost.
Behold the mighty Gargoya Scrapper! Watch as it loses to the even mightier Djinn Oshannus. Spoiler alert: a lot of the following games feature the Gargoya Scrapper in less-than-victorious circumstances. Be warned.

Here's a nice one. A win. Mother Khala Level 1 mirror match. The Gargoya Scrapper acts as a tank for Djinn Renova and Time Mage. It does better than the other White team.

An even better win. Gargoya Scrapper tank is better than Magnor tank! This one's a surprise. It's a Level 4 copy too, so it has Void, and the skill soaks a damage. The real hero is perhaps the Truthspeaker here, though.

Uraeus and Serpentine Spy are too much here for the similar White strategy. Without the armor buff we saw in the last battle, the Life team doesn't stand up long enough.

A similar White Melee strategy is employed here, unfortunately versus a Mylor. Melee teams always find Mylor hard. Glass-cannon Melee just impales itself.

Tyrus beats Sloan here. Sloan can be superior though a lot of the time. Not surprising that the cheap body of the Scrapper pairs well with the Armor buff from the summoner. We can see that at work here.

Tyrus versus Kelya is interesting. Tyrus probably has the edge at lower mana. We see the armored Scrapper at work again. Here a win versus Water.

The tables are turned here with the Venari Wavesmith added to the mix. Alric is victorious over Sloan. This battle is interesting in the light of the previous ones.

Great win. Quix with Chaos Knight and Gem Meteor. Very enjoyable to watch. Interesting interactions with the Scattershot and Opportunity too.

Gargoya Scrapper doesn't even need Void here to be a good tank for Mother Khala versus Alric. Along with Truthspeaker armor, the extra life is enough.

Gargoya Scrapper in position two here, with the Stitch Leech and Celestial Harpy behind it putting in the damage. Seems to do the trick.

With a Gargoya scrapper on both teams, the card can only be a winner! Proof of the usefulness in many teams can be seen here.

Mother Khala features quite a lot. It seems she has gained in power as the meta has changed. Here she counters Thaddius nicely.

Here a White team beats Mylor. How? Time Mage and Pelacor Arbalest with only a small amount of melee. Very nice win.

This game is a joke. The blue team is a meme. See for yourself.

Here Sloan beats Thaddius with a team using Shieldbearer, alongside Time Mage and Arbalest again. It seems a very strong core.

Scrapper tank beats Bortus. Bortus is a bit sad now that there is Kelya. Also, comparing Bortus and Thaddius, the minus life on the Black summoner seems very good for only one mana more.

Gargoya Scrapper wins here, perhaps because of powerful allies. The losing Green team is perhaps notable, though, using easily accessible cards to very nearly get the win. The Scrapper is the last card standing.

It's a pity to end on a loss, but Mylor is too good here for the White team. Also some expensive cards help.
