The Art of Kindness: Why treating Others With Respect Matters

Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Life without targets and goals is useless. Sometimes, we need to set boundaries, and sometimes, we need to make a standard for ourselves. It is Social Norms; everyone wants a comfortable and happy life, but there are a few people who strive for it. The Comfort and Pleasure in life depends on our principles and codes. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is my favorite personality and my role model, and his life is a complete code of life for me. Being a Muslim, I love to follow his instructions and take guidance from his life. Whatever the condition will be, I never make any compromise on some codes that I have taken from his life.

From my childhood, it has been my virtue to like for others what I like for myself. If I hate people who will make criticisms about me, then I shall also try my best not to criticize others. I love to see in Mirror Reflections my attitude, behavior, and habits for the people.
I believe in the words of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW),

"The one who does not show mercy to people will not be shown mercy by Allah"

The above words are very clear instructions for me. If I will not do Mercy for the people, Allah will not do Mercy with me. Hence I love to follow for myself what I like for others.

Last Year, I was heading a construction team for the construction of a building in Lahore. The Labor Team was providing the construction material to the Supervisors. The craftsmen were waiting for this material to complete the walls, but Labor provided this material slowly, and the walls were completed in 5 hours instead of 3 hours. I started an Investigation for this delay because they wasted our time. As it was summertime hence, they were slow, and some laborers were facing heat stress. Instead of taking charge sheets and penalties, I decided to forgive. I inquired myself,

"If I was in their place in such hot weather, I surely would like to do work slowly"

It was not their mistake. On the other day, I found they were doing justice with their work. It was all due to the mercy that I showed upon them. Surely, Allah will be happy with me and will reward me. Moreover, I also see myself in this place; hence, it was easy for me to forgive.

Final Thoughts

We all are humans. We make thousands of mistakes in our lives, consciously or unconsciously. I have a simple code of life; I would love to see justice, Mercy, and Kindness because I also have a desire that Allah Almighty will do the same with me. Punishment is essential for the Smooth running of the system but sometimes forgiveness and mercy have more power. I love this principle in my life. I happily follow it in many aspects of life.

This Post is my entry for HL Weekly Featured Content A Code I Love by. Thank you for reading my post.

Punishment is essential for the Smooth running of the system but sometimes forgiveness and mercy have more power.

This phrase truly makes sense, sometimes forgiveness and empathy hold more power than punishment.

Punishment plays a key role in the maintenance of a system. Thank you for commenting!

Hello there, Aslam. The importance of treating people with respect cannot be overemphasized. No matter the age difference, everyone should be treated with respect.

I agreed with you smart teacher. Respect is the first factor of all.
