I am a who loves dessert, that's why I become a diabetic at the age of 28. I like sweet desserts that make my throat hurt, that's not a good thing, but once in a while it's important because it can make my mood better.

My need for dessert is really addictive, people say, sweet is the same as drug addiction. I thought that was true, but, after becoming diabetic, I realized that I really had to change. It turns out, it's not easy to do.

For two years, I finally got a good trick to eat dessert but be good friends with my body. One of them is learning a lot about cooking recipes, especially making cakes, desserts or cookies that are delicious but good for my body.

I learned a lot of things, including food ingredients that can make a delicious dessert. In fact, making this food is also easy and not as difficult as I thought. Easy-to-get ingredients are also one of the advantages of this cake recipe that I made. I think everyone will like it, similar to brownies.

Estimated calories range from 300-400 kcal, depending on the amount of chocolate you use. I use 72% chocolate because the bitter but sweet taste can be felt. I like chocolate, whatever it is, but dark chocolate makes me fall in love the most.

Ingredients:

  • 85 gr baked or boiled sweet potatoes.
  • 20-40gr 72% dark chocolate
  • 3-4 drops of Stevia
  • 5gr raw cacao powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 scoop whey protein powder

Although the estimated calories are a little high for 1 serving, there are 32gr of protein in it. Good enough for those who are maintaining muscle or who like to exercise.

How to make Chocolate Brownies

  • Quite simple, even easier than making scrambled eggs. I have baked sweet potatoes from Indonesia, the very famous sweet potatoes cilembu. It tastes very sweet and can caramelize if baked a little longer. Don't forget to peel the skin of the sweet potatoes, then just pour it into the tray. I use a fairly small bowl, but this is the most suitable for 1 serving of brownie cake. Then, add eggs, whey protein and just mash it using a fork, stir well.

Oh, with sweet potatoes ❤️ What a wonderful idea for a brownie recipe 😋💯

you have to try, dear :D

This information is very useful and very important, especially for the limitation that people with difficult and delicate health problems such as diabetes may have when it comes to dessert.

I love the substitution of wheat flour for sweet potato, I never imagined it could be done. It looks delicious. You have to try it, no matter if you are not diabetic, but also for the healthy.

Thank you very much for sharing! I loved the recipe and also the presentation. A hug from Venezuela. 🤗

I hope that everyone is aware of this degenerative disease. Almost all foods outside have poor standards for sugar.
