In this article I just want kind remind you people about last opportunity to boost your Splinterlands account by using vouchers to buy energy. As we know and this is official info from the team we will be no longer in next season be able to use vouchers to buy energy, which means the only way to buy energy will be paying in dec, which will be not cheap, at least with current sps price. Someone from tavern, just calculated this thing, and if you play alone your account without schoolar of course that you have better ratio, but top accounts have schoolars, so half profits goes to them, so for them to be profitable they need to pay for energy in dec, when sps rise like x2 from current price. Why? because let's say you have 50% win ratio, which is really doable for many folks, and then you have a schoolar who play in your behalf. So with new prices not priced in vouchers you will need to earn at least 200 sps to cover 500 dec energy purachese with 50% win ratio. Because now in champion 1, when pool is really abundant we can get like 50 sps for a win and 50 sps is worth only 0.34$ ~ similar cost to 500 dec right now. so with 50% win ratio without schoolar sps need to be x2 from current price, with schoolar, when you share profit x4 from now.
I hope so that for those, who like to play the game this gonna be maybe not the best change, because you will be no longer able to buy cheap energy. Right now voucher is worth over 2 sps, for 1 energy in champion 1 you pay 5 vouchers, so like 10 sps for a single energy. with decent win ratio over 50% cost is 20 sps for 2 energy, with schoolar to be profitable like 40 sps. Of course we earn so much glint in high elo battles, so sps is not only reward we looking for.
So, when we compare both price in vouchers and in dec, we will see that, when vouchers will be not available anymore we will pay like 5x more for single energy, which is a lot. I think then maybe people will not play for 2 leaderboards for modern and wild, because to get pretty decent place in top 50 you need hundreds of games with decent win ratio over 50%.
