Hello everyone, this time I'm participating in this Splinterlands challenge, which consists of writing about how to make the most of the Glint shop for new players.
First, when you battle, you earn Staked SPS and Glint based on your Battle Reward Boost!
There are 4 leagues (Novice, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Champion), you start in the Novice League, and must advance to Bronze III to earn rewards. You must stake SPS to get more glint, otherwise you will get 6 glint, and you will not be able to buy anything for that amount.
When you create an account and purchase the Spellbook, you get 3000 credits:
You also get a battle reward boost for 30 days, I don't know if it's 10x for all leagues, so if you want to increase your reward boost you can do it with DEC (Dark Energy Crystals), the main currency of the Splinterlands Ecosystem or Credits (1000 credits= $1 USD). To create an SPS rental bid, go here https://next.splinterlands.com/sps/delegation/request, for a price of 0.002 DEC per SPS per day, you can rent 10,000 Staked SPS for 7 days for just 140 DEC ( around $ 0.11).
In the Bronze league, according to some battles, you will only be able to earn around a max of 0.4 Staked SPS and 195 Glint. Make sure you don't use any Starter Card, or you will lose -17% for each one in glint bonuses.
As you can see you can get more Glint and staked SPS, by using gold cards, Promo cards, depending on your Guild level, and titles. Also for having a winning streak ( 3 wins or more).
In the Silver League 1 with around 10x Reward Boost, around a max of 2.7 SPS and 400 Glint.
In the Gold League 1, around a max of 500 Glint and 8.5 Staked SPS, you can always get more with many bonuses.
And then in the Diamond III, the league I'm currently playing in with around 200,000 Staked SPS I can get around 550 glint, not counting bonuses. When I reach Diamond 1, I usually get around 1000 glint and 12 Staked SPS.
RENT CARDS
To ensure you win, you mainly need max level cards, which you can buy on the market or rent for a very cheap price. I made some decks on Peakmonsters sorted by rarity, to make it easier for you to rent cards, just go here: https://peakmonsters.com/decks , and in Filters-Deck Creator - type: aubryd and apply.
Then simply click on Rent (at level) All, and it will automatically select the cheapest cards available. I recommend you deselect cards that costs more Dec, like Immortalis and Lux Vega, if you are starting. It's okay to start with only rare summoners, after a few battles you will know if you need them or not.
By default, the Daily Rental Duration is set to 3 days, my recommendation is to rent for only 2 days (minimum), and when you have max energy (50), 1 battle costs 1 energy, battle and and then wait until it regenerates ( 1 energy is recovered in 1 hour).
MAKING THE MOST OF GLINT
As we can see there are Rarity Draws, that contain one random soulbound reward card in each rarity. Loot Chests that can contain reward cards, potions, merits, energy and if you are lucky a Jackpot prize, but the odds are very low. The Jackpot may contain titles, land tokens, booster packs, Gold Foil Cards, and more!
If you managed to get a lot of Glint, you can choose Exclusive Titles, which increases your glint bonus when you win a battle. And finally, you can get some merits, energy and potions for some Glint.
Now, I will share my experience on what I spend my glint, right now, my strategy is to spend them on Rarity Draws, starting with the Epics, then Rares and Commons. I plan on getting all of the legendaries after that. I also spend 2000 glint each season to exchange for 2000 merits to buy and open a gladius pack.
When the chaos legion rewards were in GWEN’S GLINT SHOP, I was spending my glint on loot chests, specifically Ultimate Chests, I was very lucky to get some legendary cards and even won a beta pack. But then unfortunately I only got a few potions, merits and some common and rare cards in 3 seasons in a row. So when Rebellions reward cards were introduced to the Glint Shop, I decided to change my strategy and choose the Rarity Draws. Now, I have all my epics reward cards at level 3, almost reaching level 4. I also got some gold cards, especially Olivia, of which I managed to get 3 copies, looking forward to the fourth one.
My rare cards are not on a much higher level than the epic cards 'cause my glint was not enough, after getting all batch 1 of epics in seasons.
And if in a season I complete all the epics and rares from the first batch, only then I get the common cards.
Here's a great example of why I stopped picking Loot Chests:
Thanks to the new addition of Splinterlands, when I leveled up to Champion III, I got a few chests, and this time I was lucky enough to get my first legendary rebellion in a major chest. And 2 copies of epic cards in an ultimate chest.
Then when I managed to reach Champion II, and opened my chests, I only got potions and merits, but it was free, so at least is useful to open gladius cards. So, that's why I prefer the rewards cards, those were 14 minor chests (2800g), 12 major chests (12,000) and 5 ultimate chests (22,500). In total I would have spent 37,300 glints, for almost the same amount I would get 5 epic cards.
I wish you luck whether you decide to use your glint on the Rarity Draw or Loot Chests.
And that's all for now, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link, and I'll give you 400 DEC. If you do, let me know in the chat. See you!
