Hi #music friends, I haven't posted from this nice community for a while, I'm really sorry. But don't worry I will try to be much more active because if there is something I like to do is to talk about music, know new music and obviously recommend them. So I decided to make a top of 5 songs that are new and are the best and are already in my playlist. I'll leave at the end a "bonus" of 3 songs, because why not, Lets go!
According to my geographic location, Lima-Peru, Micro Tdh's song El Cigarro is in the 23rd position in the Youtube trends. And I hadn't heard it until yesterday. But the acoustic sound and the instrumental at the beginning is "uff". I really like the style of this Venezuelan singer-songwriter because it reminds me of R&B but in Spanish. He has a lot of melody, that makes him a different rapper for me.
If we talk about the lyrics, the main verse says "life is a cigarette" and it is clear the metaphorical image of the evaporation of smoke and life 😍.
I had previously done a review of this artist, I will share it with you in case you don't know him.

MON LAFERTE: SUPERMERCADO
I haven't listened to Mon Laferte for a long time, for me her songs are complete ART. Beyond her political leanings that are very marked and that she spreads through music, I think that the lyrics of her songs have a lot of truth. And her voice is a masterpiece as well.
The music video titled "Supermercado" was released last Thursday. And it has quite intense lyrics about the economic situation. The social uncertainty, the instability of the world that explodes when there is a "crisis". It is a song to reflect a lot, plus the visualizer is beautiful.
DEMI LOVATO: SKIN OF MY TEEHS
This is the most powerful song in this top 5. Amazing what music can make us feel. Demi Lovato had a long time without sound beyond addictions, and she was being criticized for marketing her addictions after the documentary. Because she relapsed again. And I think this song will answer a lot of people who have been on her.
I empathize with addicts for the simple reason: I have relapsed many, many times because of my illness and I can understand a little bit the emptiness and the inner guilt we feel when facing others when something like this happens. My respects to Demi and I recommend you to listen to what she has to tell us.
I will leave you with a final question: Is rock, or Pop rock, making a comeback? I think so, I hope it comes back with much more strength than before, I missed this sound. Olivia Rodrigo, Willow Smith and other new artists are making an effort to bring this rhythm back to the music scene.
SANGIOVANNI FEAT AITANA: MARIPOSAS
Let's move on to another rhythm a bit more chill and fresh with Mariposas by Sangiovanni and Aitana, the former if I am not mistaken is an Italian artist and the song is original in that language. The song was released at the beginning of the month and seems to be the song of the summer in Spain and other parts of Europe.
For me personally, the songs in which Aitana collaborates are too beautiful. Also this song as I said before, has a pretty cool rhythm, like to go to the club or to enjoy at a beach party. It has a catchy and not easy to forget chorus that is the key of the moment.
Although it is a very happy song, it talks about a breakup. Jejejejej I think it is to cry dancing.
There is one thing I will forever be grateful for female empowerment is the art it has left us. Women creating songs for women from completely feminine feelings and with which we can always identify. Ex: Sin Pijama, Mala Fama...maybe I'll talk about this later.
Back on topic, Paty Cantú "dances alone" with this beautiful song that has a bit of a retro beat in my opinion. I have declared it my new anthem because, I know that precious feeling of dancing alone and I needed these lyrics. My boyfriend doesn't dance, hahahahahaha, so it fits me like a glove.
BONUS
As a bonus I'll share with you 3 songs that I've been listening to that are new. The first one is by Noah Cyrus that reminds me a lot of Billie Eilish's style with I Burned LA Down.
The second song that again draws inspiration from retro beats would be Tove Lo's "No One Dies From Love". It is brutally good and rich.
And I will end with this gem of a song in Spanish by Christina Aguilera titled "La Reina". Honor to whom honor is due, and this is a piece that will remain for Mexican history and for Latin music in general.
